It's Chili by George!!

Reviewed: Feb. 21, 2012
Love this recipe. Changes that I made were: 1.25 lb lean beef, 2 no salt diced tomatoes instead of tomato juice, 2 15 ounce cans of reduced sodium kidney and pinto beans, 2 cups onions, 1/4 tsp cayenne and oregano, 1 tsp ground cumin. All other ingredients and method of cooking remained the same. This last time I cooked on the stove due to time contraints. Its my go to =)

Stuffed Green Peppers I

Reviewed: Mar. 9, 2011
Loved these! Great flavor. Per other reviews, I cooked everything separately (ground beef, rice, onions). Added teaspoon or two of garlic while cooking onions. Brought everything back together in one pan and added 2 teaspoons worcestershire, basil, oregano, italian seasoning, and tomatoes. Will make again!

Slow-Cooker Chicken Tortilla Soup

Reviewed: Feb. 21, 2011
Thought the recipe tasted really flavorful. I made recipe as the author specified. Used rotisserie chicken and medium enchilada sauce. Will definitely make again! Only change will be the type of tomatoes maybe diced or stewed. I hate having big clumps not a big tomato fan either though..

Black Bean and Corn Quesadillas

Reviewed: Feb. 7, 2011
Excellent! Per other recommendations, I used 1 teaspoon of brown sugar. I did not really use the red pepper flakes- just a shake or two. I added a little more onion for my own taste and 2 tablespoons green chiles to compensate for red pepper flakes. Baked @ 350 for 10 min then broiled on low.

Chicken Pot Pie IX

Reviewed: Dec. 23, 2010
This is a great recipe. I made very little changes.. adding garlic powder (1/2 tsp), poultry seasoning (1/2 tsp), more salt and pepper. Also added a small can of corn and 1/2 cup onion instead 1/3 cup. Brushed with beaten egg white and baked the bottom crust for 6 minutes. Combined the broth/milk and chicken/veggie mixture together before putting in crust. Cooked at 375 for 40-45 minutes. Delish!

Mexican Casserole

Reviewed: Dec. 23, 2010
Tasty! I first saute chicken I have cut into bite size peices adding salt, pepper, onion and garlic powder for flavor. Soon after I see the exterior of chicken is not pink, I add 1/2 cup chopped onion, taco seasoning, 4 oz. can of diced green chiles, corn, salsa and beans. I cover the top and let those flavors blend and the beans cook for 5-7 minutes. Then I transfer to an 9x9 glass dish and cook at 350 for 8-10 minutes to let the cheese on top melt. I always use medium salsa but will do hot for my husband and even add some jalapenos to up the heat.

Banana Banana Bread

Reviewed: Dec. 23, 2010
Really love this recipe. I use 6-7 medium bananas per the recommendations of others. I add in some cinnamon and always mean to add vanilla and nuts. The baking time suggested works for my oven and if you use the small loaf pan then 50 minutes works.

Oven Roasted Red Potatoes

Reviewed: Apr. 27, 2009
I really enjoyed these. I followed the other reviews and chopped the onion mix. The potatoes were in twelvths. I used garlic oil and also put garlic in the bag for marinating, adding some salt to the finished product. Will definitely make again!
