Easy Marinated Pork Tenderloin

Reviewed: Jun. 24, 2009
Awesome flavor! Even my picky husband loved it. I did add some fresh sage and rosemary, just because I had some in the fridge, but it wasn't necessary and the marinade would be exellent without. This recipe is great as is, or can be a great base to experiment with different flavors and seasonings.

Cranberry Orange Loaf

Reviewed: Dec. 12, 2009
Awesome with the orange glaze others suggested. I think I may try to make a double recipe in a bundt cake pan for a festive holiday coffee cake to take to work.

Fudge Puddles

Reviewed: Dec. 12, 2009
These turned out very, very well. I followed the recipe exactly and did not experience any problems with the peanut butter cups being too crumbly or hard. Mine came right out of the pan (non-stick mini-muffin pan sprayed with Pam) with no problems at all. The only problem I had was with getting the filling into the cups. I tried to use squeeze bottles, but my filling set up too much and it was kind of frustrating. Next time, I will work faster and use the baggie method so I don't have to fool around so long trying to get the filling into the bottles. These cookies are delicious -- the perfect amount of rich fudge with a just-sweet-enough soft peanut butter cookie.

Dog Treats I

Reviewed: Dec. 17, 2009
My German Wirehaired Pointer Cosmo loves these! He has a very sensitive stomach, so I left out the cornmeal and added a bit more oatmeal, as I think corn is part of his problem. I also think wheat germ would be a good substitution for the corn meal, but I didn't have any on hand. Otherwise I followed the recipe exactly and it was very easy. I used a small gingerbread man cookie cutter and they turned out really cute! I'm going to take some to my cookie exchange party for the hostess' dogs. Next time I may try peanut butter instead of beef and cheese, but I will definitely be making them again.

Pepperoncini Beef

Reviewed: Jan. 15, 2014
I added a bit of au jus seasoning at the end, just because. My extremely picky husband loved this and demanded that it go in the regular rotation.

Sugar Cookie Icing

Reviewed: Dec. 23, 2009
Beautiful frosting for sugar cookies! Once you figure out the right consistency, it goes on easily and dries to a bright, shiny finish. Use a few teaspoons of milk to thin the frosting until it is the consistency you like. I will definitely be making cut-out sugar cookies more often now, since the finished product looks bakery perfect!

Easy Cheese Ball II

Reviewed: Dec. 26, 2009
Great recipe -- easy and doesn't require many ingredients. I added a few dashes of Worchestershire to mine. This recipe makes an excellent base and you could add many different things to change it up, or it's great as is. I'll definitely make this again.

Jam Filled Butter Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 26, 2009
Wonderful! Great flavor and texture. I followed the recipe exactly and the flavor and texture was just right. Next time I will double the batch. These were so good that I don't think I'll wait until next Christmas to make them again.

Whole Wheat and Honey Pizza Dough

Reviewed: Jan. 13, 2010
Wonderful pizza dough! The only change I made was to bake it on a pizza pan (with holes in it) for 12 minutes at 425 deg. It came out crispy on the outside and chewy on the inside with a great flavor. I think I will experiment with flavoring this dough and next time I'll try adding some garlic granules and parmesan cheese.

Coconut Poke Cake

Reviewed: Jan. 24, 2010
This is the most amazing cake ever! Better than any scratch, box or bakery cake. Really. I did toast the coconut (because I wanted toasted coconut for something else) but that wouldn't be necessary at all. I'll definitely make this again for home or potlucks -- it is delicious!

Cranberry Sauce

Reviewed: Nov. 24, 2010
Absolutely amazing as written! I decrease my orange juice to 3/4 cup and then add 1/4 cup Grand Marnier close to the end, and also add the zest of one orange for a little more orange flavor.

Amazing! I used red and yellow peppers instead of green, and only chicken stock, but otherwise followed the recipe and it turned out wonderful.

White Almond Wedding Cake

I made this exactly as written, except I made cupcakes instead of a cake. It is amazing! Dense, moist and flavorful. This will be my go-to white cake recipe from now on.

Janet's Rich Banana Bread

Reviewed: Nov. 11, 2012
Turned out amazing -- very moist and dense with an excellent banana flavor. I will confess that I mashed my bananas instead of slicing, and I made a crumb topping with brown sugar, flour and butter for the top. I will definitely adopt this as my banana bread recipe from now on.
