I really enjoyed this recipe and so did my boyfriend. I added some nutmeg and extra vanilla and omitted the raisins and walnuts but aside from that I followed the recipe. I used the cream cheese ll frosting that others recommended and it's perfect with this cake. One piece of advice, let the cake bake for the full hour. It may look done after a half hour because the cake is so dark in color and when you insert a toothpick it may come out clean but don't be fooled it's not done. I also wanted to mention that mine didn't rise too much when baking so if you plan to make cupcakes fill them more than you normally would. Loved this recipe. Will definitely be making it again.
