Made this last night and we LOVED IT! I know people are torn on how to rate a recipe when they change it up a bit, but I didn't change much, so I am still giving it 5 stars! I used onion powder instead of a real onion b/c I've never seen my grandma use an onion in her chicken and dumplings, but I did want to season my chicken up. I used 4 frozen blsl breasts, and seasoned w/ onion powder, garlic powder, paprika, and dried parsley flakes. Mixed the 2 cream of chicken soups w/ one can of chicken broth, and poured over the chicken, and added water until covered. Cooked an high one hour, and then turned on low for another four hours. Checked after that, and the chicken was done, so I removed and shredded, tossed back in, and added a little flour (maybe 1 Tbsp) to thicken a bit, and 1 (16 oz) can of biscuits, torn into pieces, cooked another 3 hours, stirring occasionally, added pepper and served. Next time, I might roll biscuits out a bit, and try cutting them w/ a pizza cutter, b/c they disintegrated bit, but the taste was perfect! This will be a regular in our house!
