Kim's Summer Corn Salad

Reviewed: Nov. 24, 2013
plan on making this for Thanksgiving! Easy recipe, things have on hand, and not a lot of things the kids won't eat. Will rate after we've eaten. Thanks for sharing with us. Oops, says I have to rate before can comment so will go on and give it a 5 just based on reasons given.

Neiman Marcus Cake II

Reviewed: Aug. 26, 2013
I only read all the comments after putting the cake in the oven, then worried thinking would be too sweet. I don't find it so sweet, seems as though the cake part cuts the sweetness down. Only thing I did do was add chopped pecans between the cake and the cream cheese mixture. It doesn't seem to cut cleanly though, will crumble, but that too may be because it's still warm. It's an easy, quick recipe that will be handy when company is going to drop by and I want to cook something up fast for their coffee.

Vanilla - Chocolate Powdered Sugar Frosting

Reviewed: Mar. 27, 2013
Just made this for a 9x13 yellow cake I had baked. Read a lot of the reviews and so upped the cocoa to 3 T, use 1 T cream cheese, for the milk used 1/2 n 1/2. Since I was adding the cream cheese I used 3/4 butter (not oleo). Could not ask for a better frosting, easy to spread, just right amount to frost my cake. I've saved to my recipe box for future use.

Chicken Noodle Casserole I

Reviewed: Jan. 13, 2013
After reading the reviews of it being a bit bland, I added garlic powder, some shredded chedder cheese along with the mozzarello cheese that was called for on top and crushed ritz crackers. I'll be making this more for sure.

Sarah's Banana Bread Muffins

Reviewed: Jan. 11, 2012
Delicious! Since I'm not a lover of bananas I did add the chocolate chips suggested by someone and they were perfect, also used self rising flour instead of the all-purpose. Plan on taking some to the office in the morning. Made 18 in all. Thanks!!

Topless Blueberry Pie

Reviewed: Jun. 14, 2009
Great recipe..quick & easy, just right for a short time to whip up something. Since I had frozen blueberries I cut the water down to 1/2 cup, and I used flour rather than cornstarch, 2 Tbsp to begin with and then mixed 1 more Tbsp, 1 Tbsp more sugar and enough water to make smooth thickening. Turned out great even with my having to substitute so much on a late Sunday night.

Wonderful!! This is winner with my family. I changed it by using Self Rising flour instead of All Purpose, and omitted the salt & baking powder. I made this while making lunch it was so easy to do. It will be a gift to other places and going to carry recipe with me overseas to cook for them.
