I know I have not Blogged in a really long time. Life over swamped me and I had to use my time very wisely. Today my Opa (that's German for Grandpa) brought me some rhubarb from his huge garden. I am twenty six years old, married with two children.My son is seven and my daughter is four.I like to cook easy,quick,cheap meals and snacks.
My favorite things to cook
Anything that I don't have to prepare ahead of time.I also decorate cakes for extra spending money.I love doing cakes for kids the most.They truly light up when they see their cake.
My favorite family cooking traditions
My family is full of great cooks.I unfortunately did not inherit that gene.
My cooking triumphs
I made Thanksgiving dinner for the first time two years ago and got great reveiws from family and friends.They were slightly disapointed I didn't do it again this year.
My cooking tragedies
Early in my marriage T tried to make my husband cream of wheat for breakfast.I swore I grabbed the sugar but it turned out to be the salt.I went to my mothers crying that day.

Normal Chicken
Very tasty. Not to overpowering. Will marinate it for a while next time and try adding brown sugar like others had said.

Easy and Delicious Chicken and Rice Casserole
Like most I gave it a four only because I had to tweak it to fit my kitchen. I used 2 cups of instant rice, cut up five chicken breast halves (not sure on the weight), and did not use foil. the only reason I left the foil off was because I simply forgot to put it on. Oh, and I sprinkled the top with a little shredded cheddar. I love it!My kids were excited that I actually used chicken, I generally stick to beef (harder to under cook). Thank you do much for giving out this simple bird recipe. New favorite!
