Summer Zucchini Casserole

Reviewed: Apr. 29, 2011
I was not a huge fan of this at all, and neither was my boyfriend. And we're both huge zucchini lovers. He wasn't fond of the stuffing "crust" and I just didn't much like the soup+zucchini filling.

Award Winning Soft Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: Jan. 29, 2011
Very, very good cookies. I only have one issue with them. They start to go hard surprisingly quickly after baking. I put them in sealed containers shortly after baking yesterday, and now at only 24 hours old they taste a couple days old. I think I'll put in a bit less flour next time and see if that helps.

Boilermaker Tailgate Chili

Reviewed: Jan. 23, 2011
I left out the jalepenos (too lazy to seed them, etc...haha) and added some extra hot sauce instead. Awesome chili. Too spicy for some people though - my dad couldn't hack it!

Turkey Delight

Reviewed: Aug. 19, 2010
Every time I cook a chicken or turkey, I make this with the leftovers. I have not met a single person who hasn't loved this the next day.

Baked Potato Soup V

Reviewed: Aug. 19, 2010
This soup may be heavy....and not so good for you....but it is SO worth every mouthful. It tastes exactly like somebody liquified the best baked potato ever made. You will never go back to any other potato soup recipe again.

Slow Cooker Chicken Pot Pie Stew

Reviewed: Aug. 19, 2010
So quick and easy and melt in your mouth good. The best thing to make when you have 5 minutes to throw a bunch of stuff in the slow cooker. Big thumbs up!

Italian Meatball and Cheese Tortellini Soup

Reviewed: Aug. 19, 2010
A very good soup fresh, but doesn't freeze well at all. Turns into a bit ball of meatbally goop. That being said, if you can eat it all over the course of a couple days and are very careful to almost undercook the tortellini, this soup is super good.

Helga's Russian Borscht

Reviewed: Aug. 19, 2010
Amazing borscht. Made my mom mad a little bit that I one upped hers with this recipe. I substitute stew beef for the lamb, just because lamb is next to impossible to find near me, and it is still to die for. Freezes very well.

Banana Banana Bread

Reviewed: Aug. 19, 2010
So yummy! Nice and moist, very banana-y. I've added so many different things to this to get different results, and it's still good every time. Chocolate banana bread? Check. Chocolate chip banana bread? Check. Oh, I could go on.

Rich and Creamy Tomato Basil Soup

Reviewed: Aug. 19, 2010
I wanted a good creamy tomato soup for so long, and this one looked so good. I tried it the original way, and it was very bland. I tried tweaking it so many different ways and still haven't found a way that makes me happy. So sad to say this one doesn't quite cut it. Also doesn't freeze well at all. If you're looking for a very mild soup, then this may be for you.

Hearty Split Pea Soup

Reviewed: Aug. 19, 2010
Pretty good as it, but I tweaked it a bit to make it look a little bit more appetizing as a finished product. Granted, most slow cooker meals still end up looking a bit goopy, but as long as it tastes good, that's all that matters. As it is, this soup makes the whole house smell edible when it's cooking, so can't go wrong with that!

Carrot Cake III

Reviewed: Aug. 19, 2010
Best carrot cake recipe I've ever found. So soft and moist, and freezes like a dream. I add raisins as well as walnuts instead of the pecans. Thumbs up!

Cream Cheese Frosting II

Reviewed: Aug. 19, 2010
I LOVE cream cheese, so the fact that this is a super cream cheesey recipe is a bit thumbs up for me. I put this on my carrot cake all the time. I also tried the chocolate version on a cake for a party, and it was a huge hit. Awesome icing, for sure.

Brickle Cookies

Reviewed: Aug. 19, 2010
I'm going to be honest, I tried these cookies looking for something new and personally wasn't a big fan of them. I tried serving them at my friend's monthly game night, and very few went. Maybe it's just us, but I found these cookies to be kind of just very sweet but mostly flavourless.

Same great super quick cheesecakey dessert my mom used to whip up for me. I've jazzed it up some and made an awesome quick oreo cheesecake with this as the base.

Best Chocolate Chip Cookies

I'm kind of a bigger fan of the chewy all over kind of cookies, but these ones freeze the best out of any that I've tried. Still very tasty.

Joey's Peanut Butter Cookies

Awesomely soft and chewy, freezes very well. I add a bit more peanut butter, but it was still very good exactly as drawn out here.
