Whole Grain Waffles

Reviewed: Feb. 15, 2014
I am so glad I found this recipe! I have made these many times and everyone loves them! My kids love them. I make no changes to the recipe. I also mix the dry ingredients and store the mix in a ziploc in the freezer and then add the wet ingredients when we are ready to make them. We have topped them with fresh strawberries, fresh peaches and whipped cream, vanilla syrup, homemade mapeline syrup, applesauce and cinnamon. So many options. Thank you for the great, healthy recipe.

Cheesy Broccoli Quinoa

Reviewed: Jun. 27, 2013
This is a great kid friendly quinoa recipe! We have made it several times and love it. One of my kids doesn't like broccoli but he loves this. It is a great quick meal with healthy ingredients. The only change I made was to use chicken broth instead of vegetable and I don't add any extra salt. I double the recipe for my family of 6 for the main dish.

Crispy and Creamy Doughnuts

Reviewed: Jul. 27, 2011
I was amazed how much these taste like Krispy Kreme donuts! So delicious. The only bad thing was we ran out of glaze. Next time I will either 1/2 the dough or double the glaze. We got about 30 donuts and only had enough glaze to cover about 16.

Chicken Florentine Casserole

Reviewed: Aug. 5, 2010
I have made this recipe many times and my family loves it! The bacon, spinach and mushroom flavors are so yummy together. I have modified it to be more kid friendly because I have some picky eaters. I cut the chicken into bite size pieces and sautee them in a little bit of oil in a skillet. In the sauce I use 2 cans of soup and 1 cup of milk (instead 1/2 cup of half and half). This makes it more saucy which works better for serving over noodles. For the spinach I use fresh and I sautee it in a little butter and garlic salt and then I blend it up to make a smooth green base for the casserole. (My kids love the green part the best and they don't even know it is spinach!). I also omit the mushroom layer. We serve it over pasta for a complete meal.

Best Big, Fat, Chewy Chocolate Chip Cookie

Reviewed: Jun. 25, 2009
This is the best chocolate chip recipe I have ever had! I recommend milk chocolate chips and use butter, do not use margarine! We made them both very large and small and they are great any size.

Best Brownies

Reviewed: Mar. 22, 2009
Very good brownie recipe! Very rich, but good with milk. In the frosting I melted the butter and substituted the honey with milk for a more creamy frosting.

Chocolate Sandwich Cookies II

Reviewed: Mar. 22, 2009
Very good cookies. I made them for a bunch of teenagers and they said they were the best homemade oreos they have ever had. My only complaint is the suggested size of the cookie. I made the first batch with a 2" cookie scoop and I thought they came out WAY too big. So I made the rest using teaspoon size balls and they came out the perfect size for a sandwich cookie.
