I made this and added the sausage (chicken sausage specifically)as the 'most useful' reviewer did and it was excellent! Definitely a keeper!

Slow Cooker Chicken Stroganoff

Reviewed: Aug. 31, 2009
I read the other reviews and I, too, changed it up a bit. I used Knorr's Vegetable Soup mix, 'cause that's what I had and I added a little wine and a little chicken broth(about 1/4 cup of each) to the mix in the crock pot. Then when I got home and the mixture in the crock pot was done, I sauteed up some fresh sliced mushrooms in a little olive oil and wine....I added cream of mushroom soup instead of cream of chicken to the crock pot mixture.....added only 4 oz of cream cheese and when the mushrooms were done I tossed those in and mixed it until it was all creamy, hot and mixed....then served it over hot, buttered noodles. Very good!

A Drama Queen's Pavlova

Reviewed: Sep. 16, 2010
I've made this recipe twice. Once for Easter 2010 and again today, Easter 2013. And both times? Rave reviews. Everyone loves, loves, LOVES this. The difference in texture between the crispy meringue 'crust', the sweet whipped cream (I make my own for this recipe, I don't use the pre-made) and the fruit is addicting. It is a sweet dessert, so it may not be for all, but I think it is scrumptious! You can rest assured that the little leftover piece (as, that's all my sister would even let me take home with me!) will be gone in the next 30 minutes.

Easter Basket Cake

Reviewed: Sep. 16, 2010
SUPER easy to do! I used my own combination of candies. But definitely used the peeps. That was a great idea/suggestion! My nephew, who is 3 years old, was completely enamored by the Easter Basket cake and loved being able to have a little taste (a piece of candy out of the basket) before having to wait literally hours to be able to cut it. :) My bf, who is VERY handy, helped me fashion a handle out of thin jelly strips that I had found in fruity flavors, therefore in pretty colors. I braided it and he weaved some floral wire loosely through it to give it strength and form...and then just un-weaved it when my nephew just HAD to eat the handle! :)

Deviled Eggs II

Reviewed: Sep. 16, 2010
Easy and tasty!! I didn't use vinegar. Didn't have white and didn't want to use red wine, so I just omitted. It still tasted GREAT! I used a pastry bag to pipe the filling back into the egg white shells. Have made them twice since Easter because EVERYONE asks me to bring "my" Deviled Eggs! ;)

Baked Potato Skins

Reviewed: Jan. 15, 2012
Made these for munching during the playoff games yesterday.....they were a big hit.....I made some with turkey bacon for my boyfriend that doesn't eat pork and those were great as well. All but 2 were gone and I made 14! You'll use every bit of cheddar cheese, so plan on having a little extra. Using a melon baller as a previous reviewer suggested is a great tip. Make sure not to take out too much of the potato. The 1st couple I did, I made too thin and they didn't want to hold during baking as well. Basting with the oil and baking on both sides is very important as it make the skins nice and crispy on top! Great recipe! Will definitely make again.

Fresh Broccoli Salad

Reviewed: Jan. 15, 2012
Used chopped cashews instead of almonds and red wine vinegar instead of white, cause that's what I had. Forgot to par boil the broccoli as I originally wanted as per a previous reviewer's suggestion, but it was still magnificent! I will definitely make this again! I made a little batch on the side with turkey bacon for my boyfriend that doesn't eat pork and it was good as well! Great recipe! Dressing is perfect!

Ground Beef a la King

Reviewed: Jan. 17, 2012
Good, easy, one dish dinner. Omitted tomato paste. Used ground turkey/chicken, chicken broth and white wine instead of red. About 1/2t each of poultry seasoning and parsley instead of tarragon. Puff pastry shells could have ANYTHING in them and be scrumptious. I love them!

Broccoli Cheese Soup

Reviewed: Aug. 11, 2012
I've made broccoli cheese soup many times, but not always with great results. I love this recipe. I added some white wine to the onions while they were cooking as the author suggests. I took out some of the broccoli and put it in the blender and then put it back to the pot. Also, I used 1/2 cheese food (cut into small pieces) and then the other 1/2 medium cheddar and sharp cheddar shredded. I added the cheese food to the broth/broccoli mix and once it was melted, I added the milk and when the milk was hot enough, I added the shredded cheeses. The end result was a creamy, cheesy base.
