Italian Dressing Mix
Thanks Debby! Quick and Easy! Just the way I like it. My wife loves good Italian dressing and this is one of the best. Do yourself a favor and use only quality ingredients and this turns out even better. Have a small bottle with a lid ready you'll need it and give it a good shake before serving.

Portuguese Bean Soup
Thanks Pikala, Quick and easy. In the winter I can go right down the street here in Fatima, Portugal and order this off the menu at most restaurants. When I make this at home I use less water because we enjoy it more like a stew. The only the sausage changes as you move around Portugal. We would add nothing to your Grandmothers traditional Portuguese recipe she got it right.

Indian Saffron Rice
Quick & Easy. Very handy recipe. When we want only white rice we now use the cooking technique suggested here & drop the butter, salt & saffron. The rice comes out light and fluffy and is a great base in other dishes. For special occasions use a better quality rice for a better dish but for normal day in day out cooking any rice will do quite well. If my main dish is chicken I drop the salt and add a chicken bullion cube to the water. Then sprinkle the top with roasted pine nuts and a pitch of cinnamon. This also goes well when served with peas and carrots.
