Italian Sausage Soup II

Reviewed: Jan. 28, 2015
This recipe was easy and delicious. I used beef broth and rotini noodles. I added 2 additional cups of broth since I used larger noodles. I also added 2 bay leaves while simmering. Great way to cook with Italian sausage.

We thought this recipe was tasty. Will probably add soy sauce next time to add a little more salt. Perfect recipe for a low-carb diet!

Awesome Chicken Noodle Soup

I've made this soup several times. It's worth taking the time to make your own stock. Excellent! Company worthy!

Mexican Bean and Rice Salad

Reviewed: Sep. 7, 2011
A favorite with our family. I've taken it to pot lucks and it's always a hit. Nice vegetarian dish. The cilantro really gives it a fresh taste. Left out the jalapeno peppers and added sweet red pepper for color. With or without the rice, it really makes a nice dip with with scoops.

Mid-Summer Italian Bread Salad

Reviewed: Sep. 7, 2011
This salad is super easy and a hit with our family. I didn't have 2 cups of basil, but used approx. 1 cup - everything I had in the garden. Very fresh. We used ciabatta bread and toasted it in the oven like other reviewers suggested. If I added some beans and a little cheese on top, it would have been a complete meal. There wasn't any left!

Our family loved tis cake. It came out of the pan perfectly. I used butter-flavored Pam spray before baking. I didn't need any icing. Plenty of chocolate!

Bread Pudding with Whiskey Sauce

Reviewed: Jan. 9, 2011
Excellent bread pudding. I used canned peaches as others did and 2 apples that I cooked on the stove a little before I added them - just to make sure they wouldn't be crunchy. I'll definitely be making this again. My daughter loved it!

Black Magic Cake

Reviewed: Jan. 9, 2011
I've made this cake twice and it is now a family favorite. The first time I made it for Halloween and decorated it with KitKats as another fellow cook did. Thanks for the idea! It was a hit. The second time that I made it was for my son-in-law's birthday and I split the layers and filled them with peanut butter cream, then topped it with chocolate frosting. He loved it. This is a very moist cake, couldn't be easier to make. It's a keeper!

The Best Bean and Ham Soup

Reviewed: Jan. 9, 2011
Excellent hearty soup. Not the traditional ham & bean soup. I was afraid that the chili powder would be too much, but it was fine. The various ingrediants give the broth a layer flavor. I made this recipe exactly as listed and it turned out perfect. I makes A LOT of soup so be prepared to freeze some and give some away. We'll definitely be making this one again the next time we have ham.

Bread Pudding with Whiskey Sauce III

Reviewed: Dec. 28, 2010
i used canned peaches and 3 apples. I cooked the apples a little on the stove before I added them to make sure they would be done. As other cooks suggested, I only made 1/2 of the sauce and it was plenty. My family loved the sauce so much - they were dipping their ham in it! It's a new favorite and I'll be making it again.

Buffalo Chicken Dip

Reviewed: Nov. 8, 2010
This was much too hot for our taste. I made it for a family gathering and no one could eat it. My daughter recommended just drizzling the hot sauce on top.

This is one of my daughter's favorite meals. I gently stir in 1/2 cup of sour cream when the meat is tender. Warm - do not boil and serve over buttered noodles or rice.

Broccoli Chicken Casserole II

Reviewed: Sep. 12, 2010
I made this recipe years ago and it was always a winner with my family. Use the curry - it's a wonderful flavor and makes the dish. I cooked the chicken and steamed the broccoli in advance. Also, as an other cook suggested, I always melted the cheese while making the sauce. It makes it very creamy.
