Syrian Bread

Reviewed: Apr. 25, 2010
AMAZING! I thought the dough would be too heavy after it had processed, but it was not. It was perfect. I got the pocket effect with little effort. AMAZING! I am so happy for this recipe. Thank you for sharing!

One Egg Lemon Pound Cake

Reviewed: Apr. 23, 2010
Good loaf. This "cake' was not dense enough to be considered a "Pound Cake" but was quite nice. I enjoyed it a lot. (3 stars for improper designation)

Eileen's Spicy Gingerbread Men

Reviewed: Oct. 6, 2009
Great Recipe. I had to make a failsafe cookie, so I choose this one! A Smash! Notes: //--If you find them too spicy, omit or half again the cloves. // --adding a bit of Vanilla extract or bean (tried both!) is a great way for a vanilla-gingerbread kick. In both cases, I omitted the cloves completely to make way for the vanilla. Adding it will not hurt the recipe. //--if you have trouble with the dough being too sticky, try lightly dusting both sides of the dough, rolling it until it does not spread, scape it off the surface, dust again, then keep rolling. The dough is just soft enough to use flour to roll, but not enough to dry out the cookie. It is a trick to keep it moist. It can be a pain, but you just have to get the experience rolling it out. Thank you Steph for this recipe!

Pumpkin Pancakes

Reviewed: Oct. 3, 2009
These were amazing! My husband loved the flavor and spice. I think a little maple or vanilla extract really enhances the flavor, and this recipe could use more cinnamon, but that is a personal addition, and would recommend that as an addition to taste, but as a recipe, this is pretty complete!

Ultimate Maple Snickerdoodles

Reviewed: Sep. 21, 2009
A GREAT COOKIE! My husband asked for a "coffee type cookie" with maple, and immediately, I tried this recipe. The per portions were great, just enough cookies, and the taste was nicely sweet, not too bad. As always, the second time through I cut the sugar to 3/4c, and it worked fantastically! You don't even need the maple sugar to make this cookie. Thank you so much for the recipe!

Brooke's Best Bombshell Brownies

Reviewed: Aug. 25, 2009
These brownies were rich and simply stunning. The texture and consistency were exactly what people would expect with a box recipe, but, of course, made from scratch! On a second run through, I cut out half a cup of chox chips and half a cup of sugar, and found them to be perfect! I would suggest this as an option for people who find the recipe too sweet. Simply add a little more cocoa/flour (1/4c in total). Loved it though, and I am grateful to Brooke for sharing this recipe!

Maple Nut Cake

Reviewed: Aug. 19, 2009
Wonderful taste, great texture. Cream cheese icing and/or Apple-cinnamon fill makes this recipe pop! My only warning: the time on the cake was different for my oven. It baked for 30 min, and was slightly overcooked. I would watch what your oven does, but the taste... AMAZING!

Dark Chocolate Cake I

Reviewed: Mar. 22, 2009
Amazingly smooth and silky cake. My husband and I used this cake as a base recipe for cupcakes, and they turned out so moist and chocolaty! I was very pleased and my husband was too.
