Roasted Pork Loin

Reviewed: Oct. 14, 2012
Made this on the pellet smoker last night and it was awesome! Loo-oove garlic in my pork roasts! We bought some of those Costco Pork Sirloin Tip Roasts for $1.99/lb. Will definitely do this again. Plan to use the leftovers in a cuban pork pineapple taco (Rachel Ray recipe).

A favorite, but seems like it should be quicker to fix. Always takes longer than I expect.

Triple-Berry Pudding Cake

Can't get enough of this dessert. A la mode is required! And I use Costco's bag of frozen triple berries instead of fresh; so easy!

Bacon for the Family or a Crowd

Reviewed: Aug. 22, 2010
I've cooked my bacon for a crowd this way for a couple years now - it's THE ONLY way to go! I have a black gas stove and cooking bacon on the stove just means another chore after doing the dishes - ugh. I always cook up about 4 pounds and freeze just before we take our summer camp trip; makes breakfast at camp a snap!

Chai Tea Mix

Reviewed: Aug. 25, 2012
I have made this several times and given plenty of it away as holiday gifts. Nothing like it on a cold winters night. Suggest grinding 1/2c at a time in coffee grinder; faster than the food processor. Other reviews suggest too sweet, I cut the sugar by 1/2 cup. I also add 1t nutmeg, 1t allspice and 1/4t white pepper.

Delicious. Made easy with bottled marinade; Trader Joe's Island Soyaki Sauce. Low-and-slow-cooked in the oven.

Classic Macaroni Salad

Really good! But WHOA that's a lot of sugar. I made it with about a 1/4 cup and it was plenty sweet.

Oatmeal Cranberry Pecan Chip Cookies

Reviewed: Aug. 25, 2012
Always a favorite wherever I take these. Everybody asks for the recipe. If you're taking to an event you can make days ahead and freeze til ready to go. They stay chewy that way. And, I keep it simple: use craisins with a mix of white and chocolate chips. A little of both seems to taste better than all of one or the other.
