So good! Sub cabbage and water chestnuts for tofu. Add a handful of chopped peanuts. Could also use ground turkey or shrimp in place of pork.

Carne Asada Marinade

Reviewed: Aug. 25, 2012
Makes any kind of steak really tender. Use lime instead lemon juice, add a little seasoning... like cumin, chili powder (or cayenne), johnny's seasoning salt, kosher salt and pepper. This is my go-to marinade for grilling steaks. Made incredible chicken fajitas on the grill with this... even used it on the peppers & onions!!!!

Chai Tea Mix

Reviewed: Aug. 25, 2012
I have made this several times and given plenty of it away as holiday gifts. Nothing like it on a cold winters night. Suggest grinding 1/2c at a time in coffee grinder; faster than the food processor. Other reviews suggest too sweet, I cut the sugar by 1/2 cup. I also add 1t nutmeg, 1t allspice and 1/4t white pepper.

Chicken Tortilla Soup V

One of our faves. Poach chicken in broth. Sautee the onions and garlic in butter/olive oil mix. Salsa yes, but also try about 1/2c pico de gallo. Add 1/2 can drained/rinsed black beans. Lime instead of lemon juice. Add more broth as needed.

Love this as a base for using up leftover salmon. Swapped krab with salmon and added can of chopped clams with juice, bacon, celery and frozen corn. Sometimes add shrimp too.

So good! Would have given this 5 stars, but didn't only because I didn't follow true recipe; used regular old all purpose instead of whole wheat. It was incredible!

Really good! But WHOA that's a lot of sugar. I made it with about a 1/4 cup and it was plenty sweet.

Incredible! I used 3 portabella mushrooms to make it a little beefier. And don't even think of using packaged cheese.

Breakfast Quiches to Go

Reviewed: Aug. 25, 2012
Do sautéed onions and mushrooms. 3 eggs? Not even close! More like 8 or 9. Watch the salt. Add bacon or sausage if you like. And freezing should be no problem. Take them out the night before for thawing in the frig.
