President Ford's Braised Eye Round Steak

Reviewed: Dec. 28, 2011
Delicious. I also substituted worcestershire instead of the consomme. I braised for an hour but next time will probably let it go a bit longer at an even lower temperature. (I had it on the second-lowest temp stovetop but will do lowest temp next time).

Butternut Squash Risotto

Reviewed: Oct. 31, 2010
Delicious! I used only 4 cups of broth and it was enough. I also added a handful of sliced prosciutto. Both me and my 17-year-old really enjoyed it. I'll definitely make it again.

Parmesan Sage Pork Chops

Reviewed: Oct. 1, 2010
This recipe is fantastic! Easy, fast, and absolutely delicious. I often mess up pork (it ends up too dry), but not these chops - they were so juicy and tender. They're foolproof!

Black Bean, Corn, and Tomato Salad with Feta Cheese

Reviewed: Aug. 31, 2009
We made this tonight for a quick vegetarian dinner and it was delicious. Substituted daikon for jimica since we happened to have one in the fridge and skipped the jalapeno but otherwise we stayed true to the recipe and really enjoyed it. Will definitely make it again.

Chinese Lemon Chicken

Reviewed: Jun. 15, 2009
I loved this recipe! I've been looking for an easy lemon chicken recipe and this is the one. We used lemon juice instead of lemon, and accidentally used lemon jello mix instead of pudding mix. It was terrifically sweet - just like restaurants - you could leave out a little of the sugar I think. Served with steamed broccoli, it was an easy dish for Sunday night. I highly recommend it if you like lemon chicken!

Pork Tenderloin with Creamy Herb Sauce

Reviewed: Jun. 4, 2009
My teenager, who hates when I try new recipes, actually liked this. Hurray! It really took only 45 minutes from start to sit-down as the recipe states. I didn't add wine (didn't have any) and used skim milk instead of cream because it's all I had. I used fresh basil and parsley instead of dried. The sauce, though thin as you would expect, was delicious! The fresh herbs were very flavourful and the carrot base is so great. Thank you for a quick, easy, and tasty tenderloin recipe! I'll definitely make this again.

Ricotta Spaghetti

Reviewed: Apr. 20, 2009
So easy to make! We added small pieces of steamed broccoli into the spaghetti because on its own it was a little boring. Good for a weeknight dinner -fast, filling, and tasty.
