A-Maize-ing Corn Chowder

Reviewed: Jun. 18, 2009
EXCELLENT! I used condensed milk instead and my family loved it...but it was a little sweet for me...next time I will try one cup of cream instead of the condensed milk. Otherwise, this was wonderful. Bravo Sunnybyrd!

Best Tuna Casserole

Reviewed: May 30, 2009
I used one can of cream of mushroom and one cream of celery. I added milk, as it was looking dry, like others suggested. I used good tuna, good frozen peas, Lay's potatoe chips. No onions or mushrooms, but added onion powder and garlic salt. I hated it. It was very fishy, my husband liked it, but thought the cheese was too hard on top (I didnt burn it). Our company added more cheese while eating it and salt and pepper. I guess I am too snobby for Tuna Casserole, my mother and grandmother never made it, now I see why...

Grandma's Meat Sauce

Reviewed: May 26, 2009
The men in my family loved it...I think it was a bit too thick with all the meat. Although, I did not puree it. The flavor was very good. I think next time I will use less meat. But, still yummy!

Slow Cooker Roast Beef

Reviewed: Mar. 30, 2009
Really easy, take the beef and cut in half, put in a 6 quart crock pot. I didnt have soy sauce, I had mushroom flavored soy sauce...but I used it. Covered it to withine 1 inch with water, I didnt have onion soup, I had beef onion soup...It was fine! This recipe is so forgiving. I thougth for sure cooking this for 22 hours would be horrible, it wasnt. I put the roast in the night before, when I woke up I added 4 potatoes, peeled and quartered, some carrots. When I got home from work I had the most amazing roast with aus ju sauce. Everyone was so impressed.

Slow Cooker Pulled Pork

Reviewed: Mar. 30, 2009
Quite wonderful and so dang easy, I just cut my 4lb pork loin in half, covered it with 1 can of Mugg root beer and cooked it for 10 hours on low. I took it out of the crock pot and shredded it and tossed with Sweet Baby Rays sauce and put in the oven for 1/2 hour, which I think is a little sweet, I would try something smokier next time. I served the meat with sourdough rolls and the left overs on tortillias...everyone loved it.
