This recipe is FANTASTIC! These were wonderful even though I tried everywhich way to screw these up!
First, I put the dough to rise in the oven at "Hold" (170 degrees). I always turn it off after a minute, but this gives me a warm spot to raise dough. Forgot to turn the oven off! Finally realised my mistake and pulled the bowl out after 4-5 minutes.
Second, forgot the egg! I added it when I "punched" the dough down, before filling the muffin tins, along with about 1/4 cup of cornmeal. Mixed it in with the aid of my Kitchen Aid mixer.
Baked according to the recipe and they tasted like sooo much more!
Next time I make these I will pay closer attention to what I am doing, and not talk on the phone with friends! I don't think they can taste any better...they were that good. (I also will either add more cornmeal or eliminate the 1/4 cup. We couldn't even tell it was included.)
