Raspberry Banana Bread

Flax and Sunflower Seed Bread

I appreciate that this recipe is egg and dairy free. I added 1/2 C poppy seeds, as well as 1/2 a cup of golden flax seeds. This bread is sturdy enough support lots of additional healthy items like chia seeds, hemp hearts, or even walnuts. Over all one of my favorite bread recipes I've tried!

Luscious Lemon Cheesecake

Best cheesecake recipe I've ever used on this site by far! I used crushed gingersnaps instead of graham cracker crumbs, and it was very tasty. I was worried that a 10 inch cheesecake was to large for the amount of people I was serving....be we polished it off just fine :)

Chocolate Mousse Cake II

This recipe was a big let down. The bottom cake was tasteless, and didn't mesh with the texture of the mousse. I think it really needed a crust with more crunch. The mousse itself was incredibly rich, but it didn't offer much else. Just a poor combination of flavors and textures in my opinion.

Favorite Old Fashioned Gingerbread

I disagree with most of the reviewers about the spice amounts. I doubled them as most people recommended, but it was too overpowering for my tastes. If you are going for a heavy spice flavor, I would plan on making some kind of sweet frosting or glaze.

I'd never baked with cardamon before, but it really leaves a pleasant subtle flavor on your tongue. This bread is perfect for breakfast, or with a cup of coffee for an afternoon snack.

I ended up with a decent product, but I wish I would have sifted all of the dry ingredients so it was a little lighter. I also wish I would have used butter instead of shortening.

The recipe was quick, and easy, and the resulting cookie has good texture and flavor. I wish that I had made thumbprint cookies instead of the log style, just so I had a more uniform look.

Fluffy Biscuits

Brooke's Best Bombshell Brownies

The large amount of sugar in this recipe gave the brownies a crunchy top layer that I didn't care for. It was also a bit cakier than I'm used to in a brownie. Not the worst, but not the best.

Caramel Shortbread

I agree with the other reviews that the shortbread was a bit too crumbly. If I were to make it again, I would use more butter. Also, the caramel sauce would be difficult for a beginning cook. When making it, be sure to use a heavy duty stainless steel pan, nothing non stick. Despite those issues, the bars did have good flavor.

Carrot Cake V

I've always been a fan of chunky carrot cakes, but this is the perfect recipe for the picky people in my family! It has all of the carrot and spice flavor, with none of the chunks of carrots, thanks to the addition of baby food. The directions and amounts were perfect. I'll definitely be making this again.
