Bow-Tie Pasta Salad

Reviewed: Mar. 11, 2012
I was so skeptical about this dressing. The sugar with the Parmesan seemed like it couldn't be good. As I was putting it on the salad, I was scared I was going to end up wasting all those great ingredients. Wow. Was I wrong! It was phenomenal. My husband and son raved about it, and they're not ones to rave. Later in the night when they usually snack on cereal or sandwiches, they both had bowls of the leftovers from this instead. And they don't touch leftovers! It's nothing short of a miracle.

I really disliked the texture of this bread. And the egg taste was very strong. Everyone in my family felt the same.

Grandma VanDoren's White Bread

Reviewed: Aug. 21, 2010
I can't imagine better bread than this! I've made countless loaves of bread, most of them were fantastic, but this recipe is my all time favorite! I loved it and so did my family. Thanks so much to your Grandma. I'm glad her recipe goes on.

Incredibly good! I have also made it with broccoli and it is out of this world. I'm going to try it with yellow squash next. Thanks for the recipe!!

Fluffy French Toast

Reviewed: Aug. 11, 2010
This wasn't bad, but I found it to be absolutely nothing special. My regular recipe (one without flour) is much better and the toast doesn't take so long to get done. For me, these were tricky to get at just the right heat so they get done all the way through but don't burn on the outside.

Dev's Dorm Room Casserole

Reviewed: Jul. 26, 2010
You guys!! These are tha bomb! My son said he would eat them as fast as I could make them. They are super tasty and super easy. I also make them without using the egg, just dipping the slices into milk and then into the crumb mixture. This is my favorite way because I think they turn out crispier this way. Don't undercook them. We liked them best when they were dark brown, right on the verge of burning.

Creamy Chicken Crunch

Reviewed: Jul. 12, 2010
I thought the ingredients sounded delicious but the dressing of mayo, soy sauce and lemon juice didn't taste good. Just bad flavor mix.

Greek Burgers

Reviewed: May 16, 2010
We made these for a bbq at our house and all of our guests loved them. Some thought they wouldn't like them and they were won over after the first taste. Most of them ate 2 burgers! Definitely a hit and so nice to have something different.

The REAL No-Guilt Chocolate Pudding

Reviewed: Apr. 25, 2010
I eat a lot of no sugar, non-fat, vegan, vegetarian foods and I don't mind if something tastes a little odd when it's good for you. However, I did not care for it at all! I thought it might just be me so I had my husband and son try it and they thought it was even worse than I did.

Caribbean Cruise Stuffed French Toast

Reviewed: Sep. 17, 2009
My family loved this. I used peaches instead of pineapple so the filling was 'peaches and cream'. No need for the preserves on top, I just diced more fresh peaches and dusted with powdered sugar. This was surprisingly easy to make.

Beware: This is one of those recipes where you can eat the whole pan by yourself, ha-ha. I loved it!

I've never had people rave about a dessert as much as this one. I made them for kids, but the adults are just as crazy about them.

Brown Sugar Biscuits

Reviewed: Jun. 27, 2009
Excellent! I put a teaspoon of vanilla and a half teaspoon of almond extract in the biscuit dough. To die for! I can't have cinnamon, so I left that out and the inside of the rolls turned out like brown sugar caramel. We really loved this recipe and will make it often.

Restaurant-Quality Maple Oatmeal Scones

Reviewed: May 25, 2009
I don't know what I did wrong but the batter was ridiculously runny. I had to add a lot of flour to get them into any sort of scone shape. The recipe sounded so good but the end result falls short. They were just so-so and too much work for something so-so.
