Crunchy Oven Fried Tilapia

Reviewed: May 29, 2011
I made this as the recipe calls for, EXCEPT, I substituted a half teaspoon of Old Bay Seasoning for the salt (I'm on a low-salt diet). Very, very good!!!

Okay.... I JUST made this with the ingredients I had on hand..... I used 2 slices if SWEET VIDALIA onion, finely chopped (probably about 1/4 cup) and 1 tablespoon of Cider vinegar (I was out of white), and then added 1/2 cup of raisins........THIS recipe with my slight changes.......this is THE BOMB OF COLESLAWS!!!!! I had to force myself to cover the bowl to allow for the 2 hours of chilling!!!!! Excellent....THANK YOU!!!!!!

Mexican Rice II

Reviewed: Feb. 16, 2011
For a dish with only 7 ingredients, this is simple AND tasty!!! My husband and I both agreed that this tastes like the mexican rice served as a side component at our favorite local Mexican eatery!!! I used the EXACT ingredients and cooked the rice in the oil with the onion until the rice was beginning to turn brown... but NOT burn! More like "toasted" was how long I browned it. I then added the spices followed by the broth and the tomato sauce. Truly wonderful!! My search for a simple mexican rice to accompany great Mexican main dishes has ended!! Bravo!!!

Spicy Red Snapper (Bloody Mary with Gin)

Reviewed: Feb. 16, 2011
For years, I've been WANTING to "like" a Bloody Mary, but have failed to find a recipe that I DID like! Until now!!! THIS is finally the answer!! I admit.....I am a bit of a wimp when it comes to "spicy hot!" And, I do prefer gin over vodka..... I did tone down the hot sauce and the horseradish, but otherwise, this is THE tomato based savory drink for me!!!!! Thanks!!!!

Cranberry Hootycreeks

Reviewed: Dec. 29, 2010
This is my NEW FAVORITE Christmas Cookie! Rather than put the mix in jars, I made up a double recipe of these and, WOW, are they good!!! A double recipe makes 5 dozen using a cookie sized ice cream scoop!

Pork Noodle Casserole

Reviewed: Oct. 14, 2010
This is very Tasty!! I used cooked chicken (only because I grabbed the wrong package out of my freezer--LOL!) and it still came out great! However, I did have to cook mine for almost 2 hours for the noodles (elbows) to be tender.

My husband liked these before they even made it out of the bowl and onto the cookie sheet--and he's not normally a cookie dough fan! After they first batch came out of the oven he announced this recipe was a "keeper!"

Mock Tuna Salad

Reviewed: Aug. 6, 2009
I just received this recipe in my email today and, since I had everything on hand to make it, mixed up a batch. WOW, this is Great!! Tuna Salad WITHOUT the "fishiness!" Doesn't even taste "vegetarian" either!! This is a keeper for sure!
