Margaritas

Reviewed: Aug. 19, 2011
I thought these were good, but my husband and I found them to be too syrupy or sugary with the lime concentrate. I also added some frozen peaches to tone it down. I think I'll try fresh lime juice next time. Thank you!

Whole Grain Waffles

Reviewed: May 29, 2011
Fantastic! My husband and I were in awe of how many waffles our two toddlers ate! Crunchy on the outside, creamy on the inside and not too heavy. I replaced 1/4 cup applesauce with plain organic yogurt and used cinnamon in place of vanilla, since I was out. I also used 1/4 cup freshly milled whole wheat flour in place of the wheat germ. My favorite waffles, ever!!

Fish Tacos

Reviewed: May 28, 2011
Great batter and flavor. I used half the cayanne and that was plenty spicy for me. My husband would have liked more. We used crappie and it tasted great.

Playgroup Granola Bars

Reviewed: May 24, 2011
Am I the only one who only had enough dough to fill the 9 x 13 pan halfway? Other than using 1 1/3 cups of whole wheat pastry flour instead of the regular flour and wheat germ, I didn't change a thing. My kids seem to enjoy them, so thats all that matter I guess!

Double Layer Pumpkin Cheesecake

Reviewed: Dec. 14, 2010
I just didn't care for it. I thought it was kind of bland...maybe not enough contrast between the cheesecake and pumpkin flavors? My family seemed to like it, though.

Ghirardelli® Peppermint Brownies

Reviewed: Jan. 10, 2010
I've turned these brownies into my specialty at my essential oil parties. Instead of adding peppermint extract, use a high quality peppermint essential oil like doTERRA's. I add 2-3 drops to the batter, depending on how strong you like them. Fantastic! Everyone asks for the recipe! I also leave out the peppermint candies. Peppermint EO has a smooth taste that also happens to be very good for you!

Spinach Enchiladas

Reviewed: Dec. 5, 2009
We really enjoyed these. I used what I had on hand, resulting in these changes: flour tortillas instead of corn, canned green chilis and white onion in lieu of green onions, and fresh spinach. Turned out great.

Delicious Ham and Potato Soup

Reviewed: Oct. 7, 2009
Very good. I had to substitute soymilk and it worked just fine. I also added a bag of sharp chedder cheese, but I wish I hadn't. It gave it a slightly tangy or sour flavor.

Oatmeal Pancakes II

Reviewed: Oct. 7, 2009
Our favorite pancakes on this site. We use whole wheat flour and substitute soymilk w/lemon juice for buttermilk. Works just fine. We also add cinnamon. Awesome with homemade cinnamon applesauce!

Very good! I used brown rice and canned tomatoes and it was excellent. Even my 1 1/2 yr old like it!

Seven Layer Tortilla Pie

Reviewed: Aug. 5, 2009
This recipe was alright, but we felt it was too much bean for our appetite. We usually prefer vegetarian meals but felt this would benefit from some seasoned chicken or something else.

Zucchini-Chocolate Chip Muffins

Reviewed: Jul. 27, 2009
This might be my favorite muffin ever. Because I eat them like crazy, I try to make them as healthy as possible. Here it is: substitute half applesauce for oil, use whole wheat flour, decrease sugar to 1/2 cup and I use dark chocolate chips. Tastes fantastic to me!

Rhubarb Crunch

Great! I reduced both types of sugar by almost half cup and substituted whole wheat flour for white. Turned out really well.
