The Best Sweet and Sour Meatballs

Reviewed: Apr. 1, 2014
This recipe was pretty good. I followed the suggestions of others and cut the brown sugar in half, and subbed the flour for corn starch. 1 1/2 tbsp. When I tasted, the sauce wasn't quite sweet enough so I added a few tbsp. of white sugar, which got it to where I wanted it. The sauce was missing something, and I liked the idea of the pineapple, but didn't have any. So, I added about 1/2 tbsp. apple cider vinegar. It gave the sauce just what it needed. The whole family liked it, I will be making this again.

Brazilian White Rice

In a word, excellent. Such a simple dish that can be paired with just about anything. I served it with pork chops and veggies. I'll be making this again. Delicious!

Cheese Popcorn Snack

Reviewed: Dec. 12, 2010
I was pleasantly surprised by this recipe! I was looking for a late night, salty snack, and this really hit the spot. Like other suggestions I used about half the butter, with garlic powder and onion salt.

After-Thanksgiving Turkey Soup

Reviewed: Dec. 4, 2010
Amazing! This was my first attempt at turkey soup and it turned out great! I'm not a fan of soups with clear broths, so when I came across this I was happy, even happier when it was just as good as the reviews described. I didn't have any half-and-half cream, so I used homo milk instead, and it worked excellent. I will be making this again!

Mini Meatloaves

Reviewed: Aug. 17, 2010
Delicious! I made this for the first time last night and the whole family loved it. My 2 year old daughter, who is very picky, even at it. And, my husband who initially complained about the sauce devoured it and requested some in his lunch. I didn't have brown sugar so I added a few table spoons of regular sugar. I also added a dash of garlic salt, some Wosh sauce, and a finely chopped sauteed onion. This tops my old recipe. I will definitely be making this again.

Cheesy Beef 'n' Rice

Reviewed: Mar. 2, 2010
I thought this recipe was great, and my husband really enjoyed it too. He is a fairly picky eater and finding foods that he will eat has proved rather challenging. When I made this, I substituted the carrots with onion and used 1 cup of cheddar and 1 cup of mozzarella. This is definitely something that I will be making again!

Oven Meatballs

Reviewed: Dec. 9, 2009
I made my own meatballs (a family recipe), the sauce was simply delicious! I had to make a few slight modifications due to lack of ingredients. I substituted flour for cornstarch and used a bit of BBQ sauce to make up for the ketchup that i was missing. I found the sauce cooked down quite a bit, not leaving enough to put on the rice i served with the meatballs (however this could have been due to my substitutions). Other than that a great recipe, that i will be making again!

One Minute Chocolate Icing

Reviewed: Apr. 12, 2009
I made this icing to go on a cake I found on this website. As a new wife and mom, I am thankful that this is a simple and not overly time consuming recipe. It looks and tastes great!
