About this Cook
I love to incorporate cooking and baking into my life. It's usually on a whim when I decide to make something. I love love love to experiment, and if it turns out well, then I share it with my friends and family! It lots of fun, but I try to make food responsibly by making sure it agrees well with minds as well as bodies.
My favorite things to cook
I like cooking with fresh vegetables and trying out spice/herb combinations. My favorite things to bake usually involve oatmeal and/or coconut!
My favorite family cooking traditions
Baking Christmas cookies or bread with my Oma and Ota.
My cooking triumphs
I found out last year that I'm really good at working with phillo dough! I can use it for desert cups, pizza crusts, spanicopita, strudels, and little stuffed pastries!
My cooking tragedies
Once, I was stress-baking an indoor s'more dish and it was meant be topped with mini mallows and then broiled. I didn't have any mallows but I did have Jet Puff Mallow spread, so I used that to top the dish. 2 minutes after putting it in the oven on broil in the oven, I realized it caught on fire!!!

Roasted Garlic Lemon Broccoli
Very tasty. I've made this recipe with a broccoli and cauliflower mix. It's delicious.

Vegetarian Four Cheese Lasagna
So Yummy! I made this last night and its probably the best lasagna I've ever tasted! Although its a little extra work to peal, cut, and dice a pumpkin, it was well worth the effort; the pumpkin made the plate really special! If I could have changed anything, I would have added another thin layer of mozzarella earlier in the layering. All in All, this dish makes a super savory focal point in an autumn supper.
