Grilled Cheese, Pickle and Vidalia Onion Sandwich

This is the grown up version of grilled cheese! I love it :) This has given me so many ideas - sundried tomatoes, black olives and mozarella? I will be experimenting!

Tortilla Pie

I was very skeptical before trying this recipe, but it was fantastic! I used a glass pie plate and served each slice with a drop of light sour cream on top! In the future I will try variations such as a layer of black beans or top it with sliced black olives... YUM!!!!

Canadian Butter Tarts

I followed this recipe word for word and the filling is perfect! However, the pastry was too crumbly for tarts. The crust tasted so good, but it was diffucult to handle. Next time I would substitue some butter for shortening. The butter will help to keep the pastry together and less crumbly.

Russian Green Bean and Potato Soup

This was a great weeknight meal. I added any leftover veggies I had in the fridge! A carrot and a bit of celery. I didn't have saurkraut or dill, but it was great without it! Add the sour cream and flour seperatly! And add more water/broth.

Glazed Dijon Carrots

These carrots were okay - I found them a little too sweet. Next time I would use half the recomended butter and brown sugar. The mustard adds a really unique flavour to the carrots and I am going to try this one again with some modifications...

Boston Baked Beans

These beans are the very best! They taste exactly like grandma's beans that take 2 days to make!!! I left out the bacon because I don't like the smokey flavour. These only took 1 hour to make! I used 2 cans of navy beans and I poured them straight into the caserole dish with the onions. I added the water and the sauce and they were done in no time!!!

Best Ever Sausage with Peppers, Onions, and Beer!

This turned out pretty good. I am not a huge fan of sausages or peppers so I made some changes: -I used only 3 peppers, half an onion -Used only 1 beer -Omitted the worshtershire sauce and cilantro It was juicy and the beer really added a nice flavour to the sausage. This is totally a man's meal since my father and boyfriend really liked it.

Key Lime Cookies II

The lime flavour is so refreshing! These cookies are better for adults - kids will not like these. I used bran cereal crushed up and it worked fine. I also added some cinamon and nutmeg for some spice! The lime made them taste like candy cookies!

Lime Muffins

3 out of 5 people loved these so I am giving them a 3 star. I added some cinamon and nutmeg to spice them up a bit and I added half a banana to increase their moisture. Like others I increased the milk and oil and they were perfectly moist!

Baked Zucchini Chips

I made this for the first time and they were just OK. Next time I would cut the chips thinner and season them with bread crums, cheese and chives. I would also let them bake a little longer - The crispier the better!

Macaroni And Cheese I

This is a great recipe! I added 3 fresh tomatos diced and extra cheese as some people suggested. I loved the crusty topping and the warm mushy insides! Everyone went for seconds!
