these were the 1st cookies i've ever made. Maybe my lack of experience inhibited me to make them as excellent as the title promised. They were goood, but far from great. Thanks. Maybe will give them another try at some point.... Substituted chocolate chips with cranberries, silced almonds, and peanut butter chips

White-Hot Hot Chocolate

Just not for our taste. Too spicy, too sweet (I added some vanilla extract, as suggested by some reviewers - maybe I shouldn't have had). Interesting combination of flavors, though.

Downeast Maine Pumpkin Bread

We ate it hot, it was that good! We missed the cloves and the ginger... but added walnuts and raisins. Also, our pumpkin pure can had 26ounces instead of the 15ounces suggests - same 50min for baking. Quick, easy,and delicious! Thank you!

Thai Red Chicken Curry

I followed both the recipe, and the other reviews:) I added 1 extra teaspoon of curry paste, 1 teaspoon of brown sugar, salt and pepper to taste, and the juice from 1/2 lemon. My only concern is that the sauce wasn't too watery (I uploaded a photo), compared to the displayed picture. I loved the taste though!

delicious! i added an extra can of condensed soup, and i mixed the cheese inside, not on top. It turned out A LOT! i cooked it for my family of 4, and there will be leftovers... but I should have cooked it for my boyfriend and his roommate, and there'd be no leftovers, only 2 guys, bellies full and faces happy :)

Chicken and Broccoli Braid

I went to the grocery with an imaginary list, and I forgot to buy red pepper and dill. But even like this, the recipe turned out great. Unfortunatelly my family had pizza just before I finished cooking by braid, so most of it waits to be eaten. I loved it though!

Romanian Apple Cake

The cake is yummy! I am originally from Romania and I spent 1/2 of my life there. This is not the cake my grandmother used to make. This cake resembles the "american" cakes I very much enjoy from this website. The Romanian traditional apple cake has 3 layers, the middle one being the apples' layer, surrounded by a special kind of dough. It's very different in taste and looks...but this cake is also delicious!

Melt In Your Mouth Blueberry Cake

I followed the recipe as stated. The only difference was I added a pint of blueberries, which measured about 2 cups. I made a mistake which cost me 2egg whites. When you beat the egg whites, never add the sugar until the whites already formed peaks, otherwise the whites won`t beat, and you`ll end up with a liquid mixture. I had to discharge them and start all over again, separating eggs and keeping the egg yolks... Otherwise the cake is wonderful. I was hoping it would grow bigger, but my mom said it`s expected for only 1 and 1/2 cups of flour (whole-wheat:) ). The sugar on top made a nice crunchy crust.

Too Much Chocolate Cake

Delicious, moist, yummy!!! The only change I made to the recipe was to substitute the oil with 1cup of apple sauce. I also preferred to use low-fat sour cream. This was my one and only attempt at this cake, and it turned out exquisite. After all the rave reviews it got, I had no doubts. Everyone in my family rated it 5/5! AAAAh! I made another change, due to my fear of it being toooooooo chocolaty :) I used 1 cup of chocolate chips and 1cup of peanut butter chips. I was afraid of it being too sweet, but I was presently surprised of its semi-sweetness:) Looooooove the melted chocolate!!!

It Won't Last Cake

I followed the recipe as directed, except that I substituted 1 cup of applesauce for 1 cup of oil (we are on a diet;) ) and only added 2 1/2cups of sugar, as the applesauce had some sugary flavor. I went on a culinary shopping spree this morning and I bought an "Angel Food Pan" - I didn't know better - but it turned out fine, no problems. I will upload my photo and I will update the rating, as directed by my family who still have to try it :) I loved it - but I like anything I make...so, we'll wait for them! UPDATE: 5 starts from my entire family!:) Thank you for sharing!

Plum Blueberry Upside Down Cake

I loved it! It tastes great, looks amazing! My springform pan leaked, but I tested it beforehand. To solve the problem I wrapped it up in aluminium foil. I melted the butter/brown sugar mixure separately before covering the pan with it. I also doubled it. I used butter because we had no margarine. I also added the 2 extra TBS flour (whole-wheat all purpose flour), after reading the other reviews. The peaches and plums had a wonderful moisture which they kept even 4 hours later (we are 4 hours later right now:) ) My dad was not impressed, but is he ever? Mom loved it, and so have i! A keeper, to do it again and again. I will become creative with different fruits next time :)! (I uploaded my pretty cake photo)

Pork Fried Rice

very tasty! We didn't have any pork, so I substituted chicken breast and added frozen vegetables along with carrots and 3/4 of an onion. Omitted also the ginger and the garlic power (hahaha, it sounds like another recipe altogether! Sorry). Still wonderful! Thank you!
