Kokub's Mango Chutney from Pakistan

Reviewed: Jun. 29, 2011
Really yummy, but I had too little liquid to cook for 30 minutes. Had to add splashes of water to keep it cooking long enough for the mango do be done. I did cut down on the sugar, maybe that was why I had less liquid. Had to up the salt and chili flakes, but that is just personal taste!

Doughnut Muffins

Reviewed: Mar. 5, 2011
Just made a batch of these... I didn't have any ground cinnamon though, so I used almond flavouring and topped with sliced almonds. They look - and smell - delicious. Waiting for them to cool a bit so I can try them! UPDATE: Just tried it and its really good. A little on the sweet side though... next time I will cut down on the sugar.

Sago Sabudana Khichdi

Reviewed: Nov. 30, 2010
We make sago khichdi without the coconut, but we add pieces of fried potato, sort of like mini french fries. Also we use mustard seeds and curry leaves instead of cumin and cilantro. Your recipe was good too. Liked the coconut, gave it a more fresh feel.

Curried Cumin Potatoes

Reviewed: Sep. 29, 2009
This dish is supposed to be eaten with dal (lentils) and roti/ rice. The lentils provide the liquid, that way the potatoes won't feel dry.

Indian Spiced Onions

Reviewed: Sep. 29, 2009
Just put onions in vinegar (preferably malt vinegar), add a little salt and 2 split green chillies. Leave overnight. Its ready to eat when the onions start turning pink.
