Focaccia Bread

I'm just learning to cook bread, and this was good, but mine was kind of hard. I put it on a cookie sheet since I wanted to make sandwiches, but I think next time I'll put it in a smaller pan so it will be softer and I can slice down the middle for sandwhiches. Cheese sounded like a lot to me, so I cut by 1/4 cup, and I could have reduced cheese further. Excellent starter to play with - Thanks!!

Creamy Bow Tie Pasta Salad with Prosciutto, Peas, Grapes, and Dried Cranberries

Exactly what I was looking for - very good!I used this garlic seasoning blend because raw garlic seems to become stronger and stronger. I would only mark it down a bit because I can't figure out how to get it creamier. It seems to absorb more and more as it sits and is slightly sticky. (if anyone has a tip, I'd love to know!) The lemon seems strong, at first, but really tones down later.Thanks!

Quinoa Salad with Dried Fruit and Nuts

I had to adjust with what I had on hand and adjusted to my taste, so it was pretty different, but it was so tasty, I thought I'd share...I grated in some orange zest, used 1/2 orange juice and 1/2 lemon juice, used less sesame oil, added grated ginger and a tsp of soy. I also used craisins, green and red onion, b/c I used red quinoa (I dislike it when eating leftovers that craisins and red onion have blead into the dish.) I didn't have celery on hand, so I didn't add that.

Barley, Lentil and Mushroom Soup

This is wonderful. I had gotten lentils and barley at the market because they are so healthy, and I happen to have some frozen shitake mushrooms I added. I only had the powdered beef stock, and it was still wonderful. My husband is very picky and he loved it, too. We usually don't share the same tastes because I like some hotter spices than he does, but finally a soup we agree on! Thanks!!
