I followed this recipe as written but probably should have read the reviews first. It is good and healthy but needs a bit more flavor. The sauce was a bit too think- next time I will use more water and more soy sauce. Definitely needs more fresh garlic and will probably add some crushed red pepper. But it is a good base and I will definitely make it again!

Sizzling Sherry Shrimp with Garlic

This dish turned out just ok. I used lemon juice instead of sherry and the lemon overpowered the other flavors of the dish. Like another reviewer suggested, I will wait to put the garlic in until the shrimp are almost cooked because the garlic burned which likely changed the overall flavor of the dish. I steamed some frozen broccoli in the microwave and mixed it in when the shrimp were just about cooking.

Chicken French - Rochester, NY Style

Great recipe! I, like many others didn't realized chicken french was a Rochester thing until I moved away and no one I mentioned it to had heard of it! I had no problems getting the egg to stick well, but I did 1.5x the sauce and will definitely pound out the breasts next time. Served over rice pilaf with roasted asparagus on the side. Was as close to Antonetta's famous chicken french as I'll get living in DC!

Banana Pudding with Meringue

Easy to make but a word of advice- definitely serve warm. I made this ahead of time thinking it would save me some trouble and so I wouldn't have to neglect my dinner guests, but putting it in the fridge made the wafers hard as rocks.

Lemon Ice-Box Cake II

This cake is so easy to make and absolutely delicious! I am not a baker and this cake turned out great. In the summer like to top it with fresh raspberries- a great compliment to the lemon!

Shrimp Pil Pil

Love this dish! It is so easy. I like to make extra sauce and serve it over angel hair pasta or rice. I didn't have cayenne pepper on hand but a few dashes of hot sauce (like Frank's) and some crushed red pepper are good alternatives.

Krista's Sticky Honey Garlic Wings

This was a great tasting recipe, but I agree with another reviewer that the sauce was too thin mixing 3/4 c. of water with the cornstarch. Next time I will definitely use less water so the sauce is thick enough to coat the wings better. The thinner sauce I made still tasted great and I used the extra as a dipping sauce.
