Ruth's Red Lentil and Potato Soup

Really love this soup! I make it whenever my fiance is sick. I skip the allspice, swap kale for spinach and leave out the file powder. It's really hearty and tasty!

Hawaiian Punch Slush for Adults

This stuff was awesome! It makes a huge batch, but it is so good everyone will be drinking it. It took about two days to freeze and I added about a cup and a half of water to help it get more like a slushie. Will make again!

Crackle Top Molasses Cookies

These cookies had a good taste, but I found two cups of flour was definately not enough. My dough was far too soft, and they burned before they could crackle on top.

Soft Giant Pretzels

These are awesome! Came out perfect - we ate these for supper! Brushed with melted butter and topped with sea salt - they tasted just like a mall pretzel. Next time I make the dough I'm going to try to make pretzel buns for sandwiches.

Amazing Whole Wheat Pizza Crust

I made this recipe using on whole wheat flour, and I cut the recipe in half to make just one thin crust pizza - its really awesome. I added some minced garlic to my dough along with italian seasonings. It's great the day you make it - but doesn't make good for "morning" pizza.

Jalapeno Jelly

This was my first time canning ever, but with an overload of Jalapenos I had too. Great recipe - easy. The taste is great. Sweet at first with a good bite at the end. Like others noted - I kept some seeds in, but not all. I think I will mix this with whipped cream cheese for a dip.

World's Best Lasagna

This recipe is truly the best!! I made everything the day before and let it in the fridge, popped it in the oven, and truly was the best lasagna I ever had. Had a bit of sauce left over that I used for a meat sauce on pasta. Great recipe!

Big Al's K.C. Bar-B-Q Sauce
