Apple Turnovers

Reviewed: Apr. 9, 2009
This was a great recipe. I added a tiny bit more corn starch as other users said the sauce was too thin. But they turned out great. I baked mine for 20 minutes. I also drizzled a little honey on top right before eating one.

Carrot Cake III

Reviewed: Apr. 13, 2009
The final product of this recipe was great. I followed the recipe exactly minus the nuts and made cup cakes instead of a cake (18 min). The frosting was also delicious. After I frosted them white, I made orange icing to make a little carrot and then made another small batch of green icing to make the top of the carrot. They tasted as good as they looked.

Delicious Ham and Potato Soup

Reviewed: Apr. 14, 2009
This soup was delicious. I used left over Easter ham. I didn't add celery because I am not a fan of it. I sprinkled with shredded cheddar cheese and a piece of a french loaf. It was great! I can't wait to have it for left overs.

Buffalo Style Chicken Pizza

Reviewed: Apr. 15, 2009
I used smaller premade crusts, 8'. I like blue cheese, but my boyfriend does not. So I used ranch. I brushed the bottom on the crust with ranch. I tossed the shredded chicken in Cookie's Buffalo Sauce and spread on top of the ranch. Then I topped with fresh sliced mozzerella and cut up some peppercuinis and put on top with some fresh ground pepper. They were delicious! I 8' pizza per person worked great.

Slow Cooker Chicken Taco Soup

Reviewed: Apr. 17, 2009
This soup was great! I followed the recipe exactly except I used a can of low sodium chicken broth instead of the beer and used a can of Hot Rotel. I also added about 2 tbsp of sour cream to the entire pot to add some richness as well as a little bit of cheese. The tortilla chips, cheese, and sour cream on top is a must!

Garlic Cheddar Chicken

Reviewed: Apr. 22, 2009
This was good. I used italian panko and floured chicken before dipping in garlic butter. Still had trouble with panko mixture sticking to chicken, but I just pressed it on there and it worked. Served with side of roasted potatoes from the grill. Boyfriend loved it. We both dipped it in marinara sauce.

BBQ Chicken Pizza I

Reviewed: Apr. 27, 2009
This recipe was great. I didn't use brown sugar or molassis. I added peppercuinis as well. I found a chipolte guda that I used and that was great.

Tiramisu Layer Cake

Reviewed: Apr. 27, 2009
So good! Next time I will remember to make the frosting right before I frost it, otherwise it will get a little runny. I will also double the coffee mixture to soak the cake.

Pasta with Tomato Cream Sauce

Reviewed: Apr. 30, 2009
This was good. I usually always just use jar spaghetti sauce, so this was a nice change. I only had heavey creme so I added 1/2 cup.

Delicious! I used strawberry jam and ran out of almond flavoring so I used vanilla.

Mini Meatloaves

Reviewed: May 8, 2009
BEST meatloaf I have ever had or made. Super moist. I soaked my oats in the milk, added chopped onion and garlic, and used a regular size muffin tin as others had suggested. The sauce was awesome! I will make this over and over again.

Best Brownies

Reviewed: May 8, 2009
Better than boxed brownies! I have never made homemade brownies before, and these were a success! I will never go back to boxed brownies again. I didn't make the frosting. I especially like them because of the portion size. I usually only make them for my boyfriend and I, and these made just enough for us. A 9x13 pan of brownies is good, but naughty to have around. I love how all the ingredients are things I have on hand. I will make over and over again when I need some chocolate.

Angel Lush

Reviewed: May 14, 2009
This was good. I liked the flavors. My boyfriend loved it. I felt there was too much pudding/cool whip/pineapple mixture. It was spilling over the sides and I still had some left over so I just spread it all over the sides and middle. My cake also collapsed on one side. Maybe I didn't distribute the filling evenly? I also made a strawberry sauce to drizzle over each piece when served (1/3 cup sugar and water and about 10 strawberrys brought to a boil until thick. Purred in a food processor and refridgerated.)

Peanut Butter and Banana Dog Biscuits

Reviewed: May 15, 2009
I have two golden retrievers and they both loved it! Their favorite special treats that they get are peanut butter and also bananas. They are so excited to get one of these rather than a milkbone.

Chocolate Chocolate Chip Cookies I

Reviewed: May 15, 2009
Yum! Tastes like a great chocolate chip cookie. Very moist and the perfect amount of chocolate and sweetness. I followed the recipe exactly, except I used mini chocolate chips and cut the recipe in half. I got about 30 cookies.

Super Sausage Gravy

Reviewed: May 18, 2009
I will never buy packet white gravy again! This recipe is great. The only thing I changed was used 1/2 lb sausage. I don't care for big chunks of sausage. Once it was browned, I drained the grease, put it on a cutting board and chopped it up very finely. Then I put it back in the pan and then made the gravy. Great texture and taste! Served with hashbrowns.

Clone of a Cinnabon

Reviewed: May 29, 2009
Good recipe, that is why I am giving it a 5 star. However, mine did not turn out. I don't have a bread machine and tried others directions on how to do it without. My dough took forever to rise, in the bowl and in the 9x13. I let them rise over night in the fridge, but that made the filling sink down to the bottom. The texture of mine was not light and fluffy. I will need to try this one again.

Lasagna Stuffed Shells

Reviewed: Jun. 1, 2009
This was good. I used crumbled hot italian sausage instead of ground beef. The only downside to stuffed shells is that it was really messy for me to get the cheese mixture into the shells.
