Old-Fashioned Baked Beans

I did not care for this recipe. I was able to rescue it by adding more brown sugar and molasses, garlic, bbq sauce, and ketchup. I will not be making this one again.

Cowboy Jack's Beer Bread

The bread itself is nice. Good texture, springy-ness, etc. I did add a bit of salt and extra baking powder as suggested by other reviewers. I also halved the amount of butter I poured over the bread and it was still too much. Our bread pan overflowed and the butter burned on the bottom of the oven. We had a smoke-filled house in the middle of an Ohio winter. I will probably make this again, but without the butter.

Italian Bread Bowls

The bread itself is a nice simple bread and turned out well, though flatter than I would have preferred (but that is not necessarily the recipe's fault). However, as a bread bowl, this bread is awful. It absorbed so much of the liquid from the soup that it started turning to mush. The crunchy crust on the outside was the only thing that didn't turn to goop.

General Tsao's Chicken II

Killer Pumpkin Pie

Very yummy. I had to bake it twice as long as called for, but otherwise everything was perfect. I thought it was much more flavorful after it had sat in the fridge for 24 hours. We will be making this again!

Fluffy Cake Doughnuts

Wonderful cake doughnut recipe! It came out a bit lighter than the "store made" cake doughnuts, but they had a very nice texture and crumb. I followed the recipe exactly and I had no problems with the batter being too dry, like some of the reviewers did. The batter was nice and smooth and squeezed easily out of my pastry bag into the doughnut forms. They baked well and looked lovely. We ate them warm and plain (we aren't icing or glaze fans) and they were moist and springy. 5 stars from me!

E-Z Drop Biscuits

Very easy and tasty. They came out very light and fluffy, I was really happy with how they turned out. I did mix honey with the melted butter to give the biscuits a little more sweetness. I think this biscuit is going to become a regular in our house!

Vanilla Ice Cream VIII

I loved this ice cream! It has a nice texture without being too creamy or smooth and has a wonderful taste. I'm one of those people who likes their ice cream a bit rougher. I also love how amazingly easy this recipe is! BUT, if you like your ice cream to be super creamy, then you won't like this recipe.
