Irresistible Pecan Pie

Reviewed: Feb. 9, 2010
First off, Way to nutty. I only used a total of 1 3/4 cups of pecans, and it was still to nutty for us. Other than that, it was alright. I changed the crust a little. I added a pinch of cinnamon and replaced the butter with shortening, and then for the filling I also added cinnamon and vanilla with less corn syrup and more brown sugar. My only complaints are the crust and amount of nuts. My crust was fine, but I have made crusts like that before and I couldn't stand them. They need a little flavor. I guess I also just like my pies to be really moist and not as nutty, so thats my personal preference.

Aunt Teen's Creamy Chocolate Fudge

Reviewed: Jan. 16, 2010
Recipe was good but the directions could have been written better. For example, In the beginning you should prepare the chocolate chips, chopped nuts, and vanilla so it is already ready when your milk-marshmallow mixture is done boiling. I found this out the hard way. I had ended up chopping up the nuts and getting the other ingredients ready afterward and the mixture cooled too fast and didn't mix well. The fudge didn't turn out as good. It is a Great recipe, but instructions should be fixed and more descriptive.

Good recipe! Although I prefer to add chicken instead of beef. Also it is nice to add a little cream and carrots.

Gravy good, Buscuits not good! Bad combo together, Id rather eat the gravy with toast to be honest.

Award Winning Soft Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: Feb. 18, 2010
So far my Favorite Cookie. The dough is a little weird and almost like a half cake batter/half cookie batter consistency. I think it could use a little more flour if you like a crunchier cookie (I tried a batch using 25% more flour and they turned out nicely too). Also I used pecans instead of walnuts (I think that is partly what makes them my Favorite cookies!)

Salisbury Steak

Reviewed: Feb. 18, 2010
I really didn't like the sauce. The ketchup makes it really acidic and it doesn't taste like "Salisbury Steak." It is still good, but I was looking for something else.

I liked it. It actually reminded me of eating deviled eggs. Interesting recipe!

Buckeyes I

Reviewed: Feb. 3, 2010
I really like candies like Reese's, but I didn't really like these. Everyone else liked them though. I also found that the peanut butter "dough" came out too dry and was really difficult to roll into balls, so I ended up compressing them into cylinder shapes. I also noticed that there was a TON of leftover frozen chocolate. Maybe this should be adjusted a little?
