Slow Cooker Buffalo Chicken Sandwiches

Reviewed: Mar. 19, 2011
These are great. We make these at least 2x a month here. I add a splash of white vinegar to the crockpot before cooking. Great leftovers too - we use it for wraps, on salads, buffalo chicken dip, etc.

Insanely Amazing Jalapeno Cheese Dip

Reviewed: Mar. 19, 2011
This was VERY good. I baked it in a dish instead of the bread, that way we had more bread for dipping.

These are VERY good and a big hit when I bring them places. I use a 1" cookie scoop for consistent sizing.

Playgroup Granola Bars

Reviewed: Mar. 19, 2011
This is a great recipe - I reduced the brown sugar to 1/2cup and usually add chocolate chips instead of raisins, but this recipe is very easy to change out things and it still turns out great. I like them a bit thinner so I spread it the full amount of a 9x13 pan. The kids LOVE these. Much healthier and cheaper than store-bought.

Grandmother's Buttermilk Cornbread

Reviewed: Mar. 19, 2011
This was outstanding. I doubled the recipe and baked in a 9x13 pan and just baked a bit longer. When it was hot out of the oven, I spread some honey over top and it soaked in. Everyone RAVED about this cornbread. I'll definitely make this again.

Spicy Sweet Potatoes

Reviewed: Mar. 19, 2011
These were a big hit - I didn't put the cayenne pepper in; I was afraid it would be too spicy for our young kids. Make sure to line your pan with aluminum foil for easy clean up!!

Sausage Flowers

Reviewed: Mar. 19, 2011
These were just OK - not bad, not awesome. I did pre-bake the wonton shells so they'd stay crunchy and that really helped; I recommend doing that if you make this.

Garlic Parmesan Orzo

Reviewed: Jan. 29, 2011
This was REALLY good. I did add a bit more milk (maybe 1/2c total or a little less) but everything else I left the same. It smelled good and it tasted even better. I'll definitely be making this often!

Too Much Chocolate Cake

Reviewed: Dec. 23, 2010
This was oustanding. I don't even *love* chocolate, but I loved this cake. The only change I made was to use mini chocolate chips instead of regular. Everyone I served this too couldn't get enough. This is a definitely keeper, moistest cake I've ever eaten.

This was pretty good - I added a clove of minced, fresh garlic. Next time I might try adding minced onion as well.

Chow Mein Noodle Cookie

Reviewed: Dec. 12, 2010
These are awesome. I did have to add about 2-3TB of shortening (I used butter flavored) to the chips as I was melting them.

Candied Almonds

Reviewed: Nov. 4, 2010
These are outstanding. Definitely make sure you cook them until they are dry, as other reviews state. I was standing there worried I wouldn't know what they meant by "dry" but I definitely did. Watch them carefully, the time between "sticky" and "dry" changed VERY quickly. I did them with pecans (my fav!) and they were awesome.

E-Z Drop Biscuits

Reviewed: Oct. 5, 2010
These were delish. I made a few changes to them to make them like "those restaurant ones" and they were INCREDIBLE!! Will be making these again and again. Made this but omitted cream of tartar. Added 1 cup shredded cheddar. Baked 10 minutes. Make sure to REALLY oil your pan or they will stick!! Or use parchment paper. Brushed the top with: 1/2 c melted butter, pinch salt, 1/2 tsp garlic powder, pinch onion powder, pinch parsley all mixed together. Baked another 1 minute. These were AWESOME!!
