About this Cook
I'm 21 years old and I live with the 2 most interesting and amazing creatures on the planet... my boyfriend and his dog :) I work full time for a small finance company and I love my job. My bf and I are food lovers and luckily he isn't picky!!
My favorite things to cook
I love to cook. I've been doing it since I could hold a spoon. With that being said, I'm not the best baker, but I do enjoy it. I mostly love to cook things that require spending a lot of time in the kitchen. Such as soups, casseroles, pastas and sauces.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Going to my grandparents house for Thanksgiving and Christmas are really the only traditions we have. I love helping fix meals for the holidays!
My cooking triumphs
I started cooking at a very young age, thanks to my grandmother. I remember the first time I felt a real sense of accomplishment was cooking a meal for my family entirely by myself, I was probably 10 years old and I'm pretty sure it was spaghetti. Simple, but I was proud! Also, I have almost perfected my grandmother's german-style cheesecake.

Red Snapper
This is one of my favorite drinks! I took a trip to the mountains last winter and this was my drink of choice in the cold, snowy weather! Love it!!

Quick and Easy Shrimp Fajitas
My favorite quick and easy recipe! If you use pre-cooked shrimp, it takes minutes! But I usually use raw shrimp bc I like the texture better and think it cooks in the flavor more. Also, you can use a variety of toppings, changing it up for picky eaters. The ONLY modification I make is to add garlic powder to the seasoning. DELISH!!!!

Broccoli Cheese Soup
Ok... So I worked at a restaraunt that served the BEST broccoli cheese soup. And I have been searching for a recipe that is close enough. This one definitely wins! Although, the first time I made this, the garlic seemed to overpower it. (And I'm a garlic lover). So the next time I doubled the broccoli and added 1/2 pound extra cheese, and still used only 1 tsp garlic powder and it was PERFECT! I could eat this everyday! Thanks :]
