Nice consistency...crumbly without being dry. I kinda liked them NOT smashed down w/ a fork.... they have a nice cakey high center that way.

The Best Chocolate Cake You Ever Ate

I made this cake exactly as the recipe states, and it was outstanding. The cinnamon and buttermilk really make it exceptional. So moist and fragrant! I made this for a birthday cake and boy, oh boy was it a hit!

Oatmeal Whole Wheat Quick Bread

How you do you "shape it into a ball" when it is very much in batter form? The ridiculous method of testing for doneness should have caught the eye of whoever approves these recipes. Having already mixed it up, I put it in muffin cups to bake. The end result was bland and unmemorable. Don't bother with this one, folks.

Elegant Chicken

I used the "Lower Sodium" bacon which is much less salty. It was still very salty but tolerable. I don't call "tolerable" a successful dinner. Try to find as many ingredients with a lower sodium content for this dish when you make it.

Slovak Stuffed Cabbage

This is a 10! Leave out the water, be generous with the bacon, make sure each roll has at least a half a slice over the top, and serve it with sour cream for sure! It makes a lot so freezing half for another time would be a great idea.

Pumpkin Swirl Bread

I started smelling it burn after 60 mins of cooking. It was not done in the middle and burnt around the bottom and edges. My pan size was correct, and my oven is calibrated. This is an expensive loaf to make, and dirties up a lot of dishes for a failed result.

Cream Of Green Chile Soup

Awesome soup! I used my own chicken stock, and added some shredded chicken to it. I skipped the corn chips, too. Try this: Cut the corn off 2 sweet corn cobs and add it into the soup after step 2. You won't believe how good it is. What a wonderfully flavorful soup. Thank you Holly!

Spinach Quiche

This was really wonderful tasting. I added sliced tomatoes over the top (but under the final cheddar cheese) and it complimented the spinach and feta perfectly. It wasn't soggy the next day like I expected, either.

Pan-fried Polenta with Corn, Kale and Goat Cheese

I converted this vegetable side dish into a whole meal by adding a nice piece of grilled salmon. A very elegant presentation. The goat cheese really makes it, so don't leave it out!
