Mushroom and Swiss Chicken

Reviewed: Sep. 23, 2011
So amazingly yummy I loved it! The only thing I did differently was I didn't measure the oil/vinegar/cajun seasoning and I used garlic powder instead of fresh garlic. I also put it back in the oven with the oven off after I put the cheese on it for about 2 minutes to help it melt faster. I served it with green beans and wild rice. I took some of the loose mushrooms and green onions and sprinkled it over the rice with some of the juice. Yum yum yum!

Sage Pork Chops

Reviewed: Apr. 14, 2011
Great recipe! I followed the recipe almost exactly. I didn't have beef bouillon so I used beef broth instead. I also cut back the salt and only used 2 pork chops. My boyfriend and I love sage so I kept the seasoning measurements the same despite only using 2 chops and it turned out amazing. I took the advice of other reviewers and added 3 tablespoons of cornstarch to 3 tablespoons of cold water and mixed that into the sauce to make a gravy. I'd never attempted a homemade gravy before and it turned out amazing. It was a little on the salty side but that's probably my fault because I didn't use reduced sodium beef broth. All in all, we will be making this again.

Cola Pork Chops

Reviewed: Sep. 20, 2010
I've been making this recipe for about a year now and it's pretty much become a weekly must have for my family. The only difference in how I make it is I add the brown sugar into the cola and ketchup mixture before pouring it over the chops, then I sprinkle a little more brown sugar on top. For heat, some times I'll add about a teaspoon of cayenne pepper.

Marinated Flat Iron Steak

Reviewed: Mar. 9, 2010
Excellent Marinade! I've made this a few times exactly as the recipe states and it's fabulous, my family loves it! I typically mix the marinade and get the steaks soaking first thing in the morning then by the time I get home from work they've been soaking for hours and the flavor is just perfect. I imagine if they soaked over night they'd be even better but I never remember to do it the night before.

Mediterranean Chicken

Reviewed: Mar. 9, 2010
Delicious!! My only changes were I used dried herbs in place of fresh because I didn't have any fresh herbs, I used cherry tomatoes cut in half, and I omitted the olives because I didn't have any. My step-mother said the sauce was so good she could eat that by itself. I will be making this again, possibly with some feta cheese sprinkled on top.

Shrimp Lemon Pepper Linguini

Reviewed: Mar. 8, 2010
Excellent recipe! I doubled the sauce per other users suggestions and it was the perfect amount. I used a bag of raw frozen shrimp and thawed them under running water in the sink. My only issue was the amount of pepper, we felt it was too spicy but that may just be our personal preference. Next time I will double everything for the sauce except the pepper. Over all, we loved this recipe and will be making it again!

Lemon Meringue Pie III

Reviewed: Feb. 25, 2010
I'm very new to baking and found this recipe to be easy and yummy!! I'd never made a Lemon Meringue pie before. The only thing I did differently was I didn't put the filling in the fridge to cool, I set it aside while I made the meringue. This is a great recipe for beginners like me, don't be afraid of it like I was.

Braised Balsamic Chicken

Reviewed: Feb. 25, 2010
Love this recipe! I scaled it down to serve 3 people and used stewed tomatoes because I didn't have a can of diced tomatoes. Other than that, I did everything exactly as the recipe states and it was amazing! I served it with rice and chopped steamed asparagus.

Ranch Pasta Salad

Reviewed: Sep. 10, 2009
Love this recipe, it has replaced our old pasta salad recipe which used Italian Dressing. The only changes I made is I added a full jar of real bacon bits (my family loves its bacon bits), used diced red onion instead of the green onion, and I used the buttermilk ranch dressing. We use rotini pasta. Tip: Let the pasta cool completely after cooking it before adding the cheese or the cheese will start to melt causing it to get clumpy and difficult to stir. Also, as others have said, make it the night before it's much better when it sits over night.

Honeyed Pork Chops

Reviewed: Apr. 11, 2009
Love this sauce! I used chicken instead of pork. I made the sauce the night before and let my chicken marinade in it over night, then I grilled it on my indoor grill. It was incredible, it has become a regular recipe for my family.

Broccoli Cheese Soup

Reviewed: Mar. 23, 2009
This soup is amazing. It's the first soup I have ever made and it was very easy. Going by other reviews, I doubled the broccoli and cheese. I also added about 2 tablespoons of minced garlic to the onion while they were cooking. It took a lot longer for me to make this than the time on the recipe gives. I had trouble getting it to thicken so I let it sit on low for about an hour. All in all, this is a great recipe and I will be making this again!
