Mmm-Mmm Better Brownies

Reviewed: Jan. 30, 2011
I made this exactly as it called (except I used butter instead of veg oil), & added with the walnuts. They came out pretty tasty. I'm a VERY picky brownie lover though, so these aren't the best...but very good for homemade. Maybe the semisweet squares would've been better in this recipe rather than the cocoa powder. My favorite brownies are Betty Crocker's dark chocolate-made from the box.

Egg Drop Soup (Better than Restaurant Quality!)

Reviewed: Jan. 12, 2011
Delicious!!! BUT, this solely depends on how much ground white pepper you use!! I made 4 servings of this, so I quadrupled everything. I only used 1/2 teaspoon white pepper total, which was PLENTY. Next time I will even use less white pepper, but definitely use some bc it gives the soup a great kick. This soup is easy to make too!

Chocolate Sandwich Cookies II

Reviewed: Jan. 29, 2010
YUMMY!!!!!!!!!!!!! OMG, these were amazing! With some modifications in the frosting...since everyone said how gross & non-complementing the frosting was, I took some advice from other raters-->Filling: Beat with mixer 4 ounces cream cheese softened, 1 T Vanilla extract, 1 T milk, 1/2 stick butter (4T)softened, 2 1/2 cups powdered sugar. As fr the cookies, they were perfect as is! I put them all in an air-tight container....and they are amazing the next day. Very chewy and delic.

Chocolate Cappuccino Cheesecake

Reviewed: Jan. 25, 2010
YUM!!!! I added a little more sugar, and I think it could have used more of a chocolate-taste. The coffee taste was just the right amount though. Also, I used the 100 Calorie packs of chocolate cookies for the crust, but I wouldn't do that next time! It didn't taste like a chocolate crust should. Ill try teddy grams next time, or stick to oreos. All in all-I did LOVE this cheesecake! If only I knew how to prevent cracking on the top :( Does anyone have any tips??? Oh ya-I made the whipped topping, but mine came out very thin so I beat in some whip cream too...very good!!!!! I noticed it thickens when you refrigerate it. Will make the entire thing again! I have a whole bottle of coffee liquor now that I have to use!

Tangy Slow Cooker Pork Roast

Reviewed: Jan. 2, 2010
MmMMMMMMMmmmmMMM! I followed the recipe to a T- except 2 things. I changed the sugar to brown sugar.....and for the 'hot spice' I did a few dashes of cayenne, and a dash of Red Chili flakes. This had such a wonderful taste! I was planning a dinner party so I had to cook on High in the slow cooker for 4 hours. The meat was PERFECT! I basted throughout. I also added potatoes and baby carrots in the mix, under the meat. Soooo yummy. When it was all done, I separated the juice and simmered it on the stove-adding about 3-4 Tablespoons cornstarch and some Half & Half to thicken into a gravy-like consistency. then it all went back to the Veggies and meat-which I thinly sliced and served over egg noodles. Next time, Ill skip the noodles, it was too much on the plate and not necessary.

Chocolate Chocolate Chip Cookies I

Reviewed: Jan. 2, 2010
A HIT!!!!!!! These taste so amazing! They are fluffy, chewy, and VERY delicious! I only did a few things different, I added half white chips, and half chocolate chips. I also followed some other reviews and used Hershey's Special Dark Cocoa. Then I split the sugars- 3/4 cup White Sugar, 3/4 cup Brown Sugar. I added a tiny bit more flour as well...maybe 1/4 cup more. MMMMMMMMM!!! The family ate them up! They even hid some!
