About this Cook
My cooking tragedies
I developed my own 'special' recipe for stuffed sweet peppers, using the extral filling to form a meatloaf, all slow cooked by grilling/smoking. I use either brown rice or crushed crackers as an ingredient. This time, crackers were used, purchased recently at a busy supermarket. When served for company, in spite of guarded compliments, peppers and meatloaf were horrible tasting. Decided that crackers were so old, they were rancid. Leftover crackers (from unopened packaging) were ceremoniously trashed and pizza ordered. Funny now, not then!

World's Best Potato Salad
Yummy Delish!! I caramelized the onion and added lots of chopped bacon...

Chicken Pecan Salad
MMMmmm good! Expensive, but never had a better salad as a meal. Hard to save enough pecans for it, though; can't stop eating them. I grill the chicken breast and have smoked them, too.

Classic Shepherd's Pie
Yummy! I set aside onion and garlic mix, adding after browning meat to avoid over cooking. Added some browned chicken and apple sausage. Used tomato paste, not ketchup.
