About this Cook
As a child, I always wondered what my special talent in life was; I was surrounded by family musicians, artists, mathematicians, and scientists. I certainly couldnt draw, I couldn't carry a tune in a bucket. My math was horrid and science was a stretch for me too. I found cooking to be so effortless, and I became quite fond of it! There's nothing better than knowing I can bring a crowd together in minutes with a simple dish!
My favorite things to cook
I love to cook everything! Im always experimenting in the kitchen!
My cooking triumphs
Ive published My own cookbook (mainly for Friends and Family) and I couldnt be more proud of myself!
My cooking tragedies
I’ve learned by trial and error, pure silliness, and a few dumb “brunette” moments! My most famous mistake, and probably one I’m known for the most came as a teenager; I was staying with my aunt and decided to make brownies from a box. After adding all the ingredients the recipe said to mix by hand! Wouldn’t you know that’s exactly what I did! I still haven’t lived that one down!

Colene's Easy Tomato Vegetable Soup
Very easy! My Husband who has sworn off all veggies (except green beans) couldn't get enough of this! The neighborhood Loved it too! I did double it, and used one spicy V8, and one regular. I also added Canned diced potatoes, (and canned veggies too) and some tiny spiral noodles, onion, Celery seed, and a few of my fave spices. De-Lish!

Pork Chalupas
our family loves this dish, however we fry our tortilla shells in a pan until crispy, and layer everything on top! kinda like a taco salad but so much better! ( I also season the meat so its not so bland)
