About this Cook
I burned my first cookbook on a stove burner over 40 years ago (I still have it) and have been cooking ever since. My two daughters went through vegetarian stages in their teens and I was challenged to come up with recipes that my husband would like and that they would eat. I love cooking. I'd rather cook than clean the house - something that does present a problem from time to time - but we've had great times at the dinner and breakfast table over the years.
My favorite things to cook
I've cooked everything from Beef Wellington and Salmon Mousse to cheese crackers, but love baking the best.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Of Course Christmas - my grandaughter and I make the cookies - some recipes I've been making for almost 40 years. Entertaining is a big part of my personality and now that I'm retired, love making dinners for our friends - love to challenge their taste buds with new and different flavors.
My cooking triumphs
I also love making preserves and have some of the best recipes that even beginner's can cook easily and look so professional
My cooking tragedies
I made a 3 egg cake without the eggs once. Wow was it bad!!

Key Lime Cheesecake Dip
I've recently moved to Florida where Key Limes are abundant and I have fallen in love with the flavor. This was an incredibly easy recipe to make - my favorite kind - however I did make one change. My limes were very small and two lacked the flavor I was looking for so I added the juice from two more. I served this as a dessert at a dinner party and received raves with everyone wanting the recipe. Next time I'm going to add some cracker crumbs to the mix and serve in puff pastry cups. Thanks for the recipe.

Roast Chicken with Rosemary
This is a fantastic recipe. I love the addition of rosemary and went a bit further by adding sliced clementines under the skin and one in the cavity along with a hearty sprinkle of minced fresh garlic. It's a 5star in our home..

Peanut Butter Fudge II
This came together in less than 3 minutes ( I'm allowing some time for the burner to reach the proper temp) It's pretty, and tastes wonderful. I've never made fudge that was so easy to make. It's a keeper for me.
