Valentine's Day Breakfast
About this Cook
I am a mom of 4 small children and loving wife.
My favorite things to cook
i LOVE to cook. i can cook anything and everything. my husband's waistline is a testimony to my skillz!!
My favorite family cooking traditions
i love to cook w/my children. they help me every evening w/some aspect of cooking. whether it be...measuring, pouring, stirring, ect. they always help me.
My cooking triumphs
I made a butterfly cake for my daughter's 3rd birthday and a curious george cake (complete w/ fondant) for my son's 2nd birthday.
My cooking tragedies
About 8 or 9 years ago i began cooking. i also was new to the internet. i came across THIS website and thought i would take a try at a receipe. i figured how hard can this be. i CAN read and FOLLOW easy peasy. i found a receipe for "pound cake"....LITERALLY....12 eggs, 5 to 6 cups of flour, 2 to 3 cups of can see where this is going. like a lamb to slaughter i diligently put it all together and stuck it in the oven. i said to myself it doesn't look like moms but then again i never really paid attn either. 90 minutes later i had the WORST mess on my hands!! i called my mom and that is when she informed me that i had been HAD. like i said i was a beginner cook and learned the hard way. LOL

Grands!(R) Monkey Bread
Wasn't what I expected. it wasn't the ooey gooey deliciousness I expected. I melted the butter and sugar together as suggested. at that moment I suspected that it was way too much butter. however I went against my intuition and poured into the bundt pan. 28 minutes later it looked very beautiful but not as tasty as I had hoped.

Grands!(R) Pepperoni Pizza Bake
I believe this a case of varying tastes buds. I feel like the biscuit flavor overpowered the pizza sauce and toppings. I did my first pizza in 9x11 glassware. There were complaints from the peanut gallery that the crust was too thick. I spread my 2nd pizza onto a cookie sheet and (half of) the peanut gallery was much happier with a thinner crust. My peanut gallery consists of 4 kids with me always being the 5th. the vote was 3 who didn't care for it and 2 who liked it (with a thinner crust).
