Cream of Broccoli Soup I

Reviewed: Nov. 20, 2012
Good base recipe with a few minor modifications - after reading a lot of reviews I used chicken broth instead of water and a combo of milk and half and half for richness. In my opinion, this needed more seasoning - I added quite a bit of salt. Also, for additional thickening near the end of cooking time, I stirred in appx 3/4 cup of instant mashed potato flakes - this worked for thickening as well as adding more flavor. Thanks for the recipe.

Easy Sausage Gravy and Biscuits

Reviewed: Nov. 9, 2012
wonderful recipe-I didn't have sausage crumbles but did have a pkg of Jimmy Dean sausage which I browned up while bisdcuits were baking. While it didn't seem like there was a lot of fat/grease in the pan, it worked perfectly with the amount of flour and milk mentioned above. Delicious!

Apple Squares

Reviewed: Oct. 15, 2012
Made this for dessert last night and everyone loved them! Could not stop at one - these won't last long. Followed suggestions by other viewers and doubled recipe for 9 x 13 pan, except used 3/4 c of each sugar rather than doubling sugar. Do not double topping as single recipe of that was too much-I would halve the topping next time. Thanks for a great recipe! It's a keeper!

Apple Crisp II

Reviewed: Aug. 26, 2012
delish! Read some of the reviews so added a cup of chopped pecans to the topping which gave it an extra crunch. I also used 1/4 cup apple juice instead of 1/2 cup water and the sauce was very flavorful and not runny at all. Thanks for a wonderful recipe!

Spooky Witches' Fingers

Reviewed: Oct. 29, 2011
Third pan in the oven right now - added green food coloring per other reviewers suggestion and they look and taste awesome! Flavor reminds me of spritz cookies - they are delish and will look great on a platter at the Halloween party tonight! Thanks for the great idea & recipe

Cheerios Bars

Reviewed: May 27, 2011
These bars are so easy and yet so good! I taste tested one bar and could hardly stop at one! I used regular sized M&Ms because that is what I had on hand - definitely freeze them as Valerie recommends. I melted the butter, peanut butter and marshmallows on the stovetop rather than in the microwave as I'm more comfortable with that method. This recipe is a keeper!

Pecan Pie Muffins

Reviewed: Nov. 1, 2010
These were so delicious! I used muffin liners and they did stick to them so will try the spray with flour next time - I had to run out and buy some of that so I can make them again soon. Hubby can't stop eating them!

Baked Spaghetti

Reviewed: Aug. 7, 2010
This is delish! I've made it several times, but double the sauce, and use ricotta cheese, but I melt that into the meat sauce rather than layering it - made it much easier to put together. Thanks for a great recipe!
