Have you ever heard of the 40 bags in 40 days challenge? It's popular during Lent. The idea is very simple: over the course of 40 days, remove 40 bags of "stuff" from your house. Sell it, donate it, toss it, recycle it... it doesn't matter, as

their haul by trekking to another store t

There’s an Amish community about 40 minutes from my home where I like to shop for dry goods such as spices, grains and any flour you can imagine. The prices can’t be beat. My mother-in-law knows how much I enjoy it, so last week, she recommended to me
that I take a trip to southern Iowa to a…

My oldest son has ADD, for which he takes meds. Truth be told, I hate his ADD medicine. I also have ADD and don’t take medicine because of the way it makes me feel. My son prefers to take it though. He doesn’t like some side effects that he gets from the
meds, but he does like his improved

Devon is just a street in Chicago, but it makes my heart swell every time my family visits.
They say that the U.S. is a melting pot, and Devon is proof of that. It's an amalgamation of diasporas. It's culture and religion and race and a reminder of the humanity of us all.
