Creamy Zucchini with Linguine

Reviewed: Aug. 31, 2010
Just OK. Needs a LOT more flavor - salt, garlic, pepper, onions. I followed the recipe exactly and it came out quite bland.

Blueberry Coffee Cake I

Reviewed: Aug. 17, 2010
Absolutely fantastic! At first I thought it was "Disaster in a Bundt Pan" because the cake didn't rise as much as I'd expected, then I was kicking myself because I followed other reviewers' suggestions and added a little more milk and a little less flour and used 1 1/2 cups of blueberries. I also put half the streusel mixture over the blueberries. It looked like it was going to fall apart, but I turned it over and out popped a beautiful cake (a little flatter than the pictures, but beautiful). It tastes FANTASTIC! (How can you go wrong with a pound of butter?) Rave reviews all around. Don't be discouraged if the cake looks a little sunken when you take it out of the oven. This is a keeper!

Bread Pudding II

Reviewed: Oct. 2, 2009
Just divine! And so easy to make. I added 1/4 tsp nutmeg and 1/4 tsp pumpkin pie spice. Served with a drizzle of real maple syrup (not the fake stuff). My family loved it!

Shrimp and Mushroom Linguini with Creamy Cheese Herb Sauce

Reviewed: Oct. 13, 2011
Great recipe although a bit high fat. I added some frozen sweet peas and heated through a few minutes before serving, both for color and to add more vegetables for my kids. It was very nice. Also followed another reviewer's suggestion of using white wine instead of boiling water, adding freshly ground black pepper and grated parmesano reggiano at the table. Restaurant quality recipe! Thanks!

Zucchini-Chocolate Chip Muffins

Reviewed: Aug. 26, 2010
Incredible! I used yellow squash instead of zucchini, but didn't change anything else. This recipe is absolutely fantastic!

Fig Preserves

Reviewed: Sep. 19, 2013
Excellent. I cut the recipe in half, but still used a whole lemon, and added a tiny amount of cinnamon. These figs are just wonderful with a plate of artisanal cheeses, roasted nuts, crusty baguette and olives. Yum!

Roasted Garlic Cauliflower

Reviewed: Sep. 19, 2013
Awesome. Not a speck left from a huge head of cauliflower. I did add about 3 tbsps of bread crumbs, as another reviewer suggested, and covered the dish loosely with foil for the first 20 minutes. My husband said it was the best cauliflower he'd ever had, and only wants it cooked like this from now on. :)

Chicken Stir-Fry

Reviewed: Nov. 16, 2009
I made the recipe with tofu, added purple cabbage, scallions, red peppers, extra spices and brown sugar with the corn starch as another reviewer suggested. Served over brown rice. Excellent results! I look forward to making this many times in the future, rotating the vegetables for seasonal variety. Thanks for a wonderful recipe!!

Chocolate Chocolate Chip Nut Muffins

Reviewed: Oct. 22, 2009
Wonderful recipe! I agree, a little more salt helps bring out the flavor. I also added a generous sprinkle of cinnamon. Wonderful texture. The recipe makes more than 12 muffins though, more like 16.
