My MIL sent over about 100 fresh pears from her trees so i'm on a perfect pear recipe adventure right now. :) This crumble is actually quite good. I doubled the recipe so it would be enough to feed my large family. My only complaints is that it is a tad sweet for my taste and the topping ended up pretty dry. I used pretty ripe pears so next time i'll probably cut the sugar in half. And also add an extra tablespoon of butter to the topping. All in all a great way to use up pears!

Classic Peanut Butter Cookies

Was not impressed with theses cookies. I followed the directions exactly and ended up with a light airy (almost cake-like) cookie, that was dry and crumbly. After tasting the first batch, I followed the advice of other reviewers and added more peanut butter and flour to the remaining dough. This gave it a slightly better flavor, but did nothing to improve the texture. I am giving this 3 stars simply because my 2 year old did enjoy them.

Apple Butter I

I only gave this 3 stars for the simple fact that 4 cups of sugar is ridiculous. I used 1 1/2 cups of sugar and it was still a little too sweet. Next time I will try 1 cup sugar. I used half granny smith and half gala apples. I also added nutmeg and allspice and 1 cup water. I cooked it on the stove instead of crockpot. It came out wonderful with these changes.

Quick Quiche

This just didn't work for me. I didn't care for the bread like texture. Also wasn't crazy about the flavor. My husband who is an egg lover didn't like it either. My kids refused to eat after tasting it. Will stick to a more traditional quiche next time.

Monkey Bread I

Yummm!!! This was my first attempt at monkey bread and it turned out really good. My kids had a blast helping me make it and my husband was delighted with such a treat. Will probably adjust cinnamon/sugar to my family's taste, but overall great recipe! :)

Pepper Steak and Rice

I made this for dinner last night and it was a hit! Even my 3 kids cleaned their plates. I used soy sauce instead of browning sauce. I also added a touch of worchestershire sauce for an extra kick of flavor. Very good dish, will make again :)

To Die For Blueberry Muffins

yummmmm!!!!! I made these this morning and I have to say that they are excellent! This is the first time that I made muffins from scratch and I was definately impressed with the difference. Will be using this recipe for many years to come. :)

Crispy Chicken Parmesan

This was excellent!!! I was a little nervous because i've never made homemade Chicken Parmesan before and I have to say I was pleasantly surprised with how easy this recipe was. My kids had a blast helping me crush up the croutons and my husband asked for me to make again. Thanks for a simple, delicious recipe :)
