The Best Rolled Sugar Cookies

This is EXCELLENT! I made the dough yesterday and chilled it overnight. I used an extra teaspoon of vanilla to intesify the vanilla flavor, the remainder of the recipe I followed exactly. I kept the dough in the fridge as I took out sections to roll. I rolled out the sections of dough on parchment (stuck a tiny bit of dough to a cutting board then parchment on top, helps to keep it in place) powder sugared the parchment lightly and the rolling pin. It rolled out easily and very smooth. I transferred cut outs to parchment lined baking sheet and decorated with colored sugar. I then put the whole sheet back in the refrigerator for about 10 minutes. I baked one sheet at a time at 350(convection setting)for 5 minutes and then turned them around for another 5. I let them cool on a wire rack and transferred them to a storage container. They are perfect! Lightly golden brown, soft on middle slighty crisp on the outside. I love love love this recipe!!!

Busy Day Barbeque Brisket

So good! I used the suggestion of another reviewer and put the liquid smoke/dry rub on the night before. The brisket was so tender. I will make this again but with one change, I will use about half as much cayenne pepper. This is just a personal preference.

Brown Sugar Smokies

So yummy! They were gobbled up in minutes and requested again by all. I served them with a honey mustard dipping sauce. I took the reccomendation of coating the bacon in the brown sugar and then wrapping the smokie.

Crispy Cheese Twists

This is so simple and so delicious! I do use the egg white as it helps the puff pastry to brown. I do bake them just a few minutes longer to make sure the puff pastry is crisp.

Pepperoncini Beef

Perfect Baked Potato

This is an excellent way to bake a potato. The flesh inside was SO tender! I normally baked mine rubbed with olive oil and kosher salt but not at this low temp or for this long. My skin was crisp, not overly though and like I said the insides were oh, so good! I love the tip somegave many reviews ago about putting the potato into a plastic bag and then the oil and coating it that way, great idea thank you!! I did cook mine at 325° as I was also slow roasting some plum tomatoes at the same time. Thanks again!

Best Ever Cheese Bread

This is good. I roasted a bulb of garlic and added the cloves to the mix. My boyfriend thought the mayo taste was too strong, too tangy, I have to agree with him. Next time I will use less mayo, maybe 1/2 as much.

Chocolate Cavity Maker Cake

Oh my GOODNESS! This is to die for. So simple to make and tastes so good. I took the cake out of the oven after 50 minutes of baking and it was perfect! I got rave reviews from my friends. My boyfriend has such a sweet tooth and I am making another one tonight just for him. So Good! Thanks for a great recipe!

Roasted Garlic Cauliflower

EXCELLENT!!! This is so good and so simple. My boyfriend doesn't like raw garlic so I roasted the whole garlic bulb first then mashed the cloves. I then tossed the mashed cloves with the olive oil and cauliflower. YUMMY!

Pork Chops with Raspberry Sauce

WONDERFUL! I took the other suggestions of doubling the rub and sauce. I added OJ Concentrate instead and used 3T of Balsamic Vinegar. I found the sauce was nice and think, no additon of cornstarch is necessary. The sweet factor was perfect! Thanks for a great recipe.

Salmon with Mango and Brie

This was just OK. Nothing to write home about nor is it a dish that we would prepare again. My husband and I love all the ingredients in this dish but once prepared it was underwhelming. The leftovers that we have we actually removed the brie.

Chocolate Zucchini Bread I

Now this is some good stuff! I used mini chocolate chips and they worked great, no sinkage. I did use the suggestion of 1/2 white sugar and 1/2 brown. The bread tasted great! I made one loaf and six large muffins with the remaining batter...sooooo good!

Easiest Eggplant

Okay now this is GREAT eggplant! I recieved a couple of eggplants from my local produce group and didn't know what to do with them. All the other eggplant recipes I have tried the eggplant comes out mushy. This is EXCELLENT! I used lowfat mayo and seasoned my own breadcrumbs. They came out nice and brown in the oven and not at all mushy. After they were done browning, I put a little bit of marinara and low fat mozzerella over each one and then put them under the broiler. Yummy! Thanks Pauline for a great recipe!

Awesome Broccoli Casserole

I completely agree with MitchB2's review. My husband I love Broccoli Casserole and were looking forward to tasting this version. I thought the corn would be a great addition. Well, like Mitch says this turned out to be a sour cream dish. I also agree that there is way too much stuffing and in my opionion way too "herby", it may have been better to use Pepperidge Farm stuffing then the Stove Top. I agree about not enough cheese inside the dish and way too much on top. This dish did not thrill either my hubby or myself.

Marie's Easy Slow Cooker Pot Roast

Now this is GREAT pot roast from a slow cooker. I used low sodium beef broth in place of the water. I sprinkled onion and garlic powders along with black pepper on the roast. After browning and moving roast from pan to slow cooker, I deglazed the pan with the can of beef broth and then poured the mixture over the meat. I added shitake mushrooms and I bay leaf. I did omit the potatoes as hubby wanted the beef served over egg noodles. Due to my work schedule the roast ended up cooking for 10 hours, I was worried that it may have been over done. When we got home, the house smelled so good and the roast was perfect, very tender. This is REALLY REALLY good! Thank you Marie!

Bacon, Lettuce and Tomato Bruschetta

I had high hopes for this and it didn't live up to them. My husband and I love bruschetta, blt's, blue cheese and I thought what a great combination. They were not good. I am pleased though that I only made them for us and not for company. The garlic was overpowering with the bacon. The basil flavor is lost due to the saltniness. I would also omit the salt as the cheese and bacon are salty enough.

Crab Quiche I

I took the advice of others and added: 1/2t Old Bay, squeeze of lemon, a few drops of Tabasco, extra 1/2 cup of cheese, 2 additional eggs and the extra crab. It was way too crabby. I think the additions are great except for the extra crab, the quiche doesn't need it. The extra crab over powered all the other flavors.
