Chocolate Covered Cherries

Reviewed: Dec. 21, 2010
These are fantastic! One word of advice, I kept mine in the 'fridge for a week, and the insides did not melt. However, after storing them in an airtight container in the kitchen for 3 days, the humidity did it's trick to make them gooey.

Pretzel Turtles

Reviewed: Feb. 19, 2012
These were sooo simple and so addictive! I took other people's advice and coated the pecans in butter and a little sugar and then I roasted them for 10min at 325. It made these candies extra scrumptious!

Cranberry Orange Loaf

Reviewed: Dec. 21, 2010
Delicious! The first time I made it, I cheated and used dried cranberries which made the bread really dry. The second time, I followed the recipe with fresh cranberries, and it turned out fantastic!

Kickin' Collard Greens

Reviewed: Dec. 2, 2012
This was a good recipe, but I made a few tweaks. For one, I skipped the oil and sauteed the onion and garlic in bacon grease. While that was cooking, I boiled the chicken broth with a smoked ham hock and later added the rest of the ingredients. I think the ham hock provides a lot more traditional flavor than bacon. I also added a pinch of brown sugar and a splash of apple cider vinegar like other posters suggested.

Jo's Rosemary Bread

Reviewed: May 13, 2012
This was great! I used Muffinmom's directions to make this bread by hand. I really liked the suggestion of brushing it with olive oil and sea salt before baking. Those additions gave it a nice crispy crust with a little zing. =)

Spicy Garlic Lime Chicken

Reviewed: Dec. 26, 2010
This was fantastic! I do suggest doubling the spices though because it does not make enough.

I skipped the additional chocolate frosting and just made these into cheesecake topped brownies. They were fantastic!

Boiled Bagels

Reviewed: Apr. 1, 2012
These are simple and delicious! I had left over whey from making cream cheese, so I subbed it in for water in this recipe. I also proofed my yeast by mixing it with a tablespoon of sugar and the whey for 5 minutes before I added everything else.

Spooky Witches' Fingers

Reviewed: Feb. 15, 2012
These were really yummy- nice and buttery! I added green food coloring to the dough as well as a little extra sugar. I also took other's suggestions and dipped the almonds in strawberry jelly before inserting them into the "finger". I smushed the other end of the cookie and added more jelly, to simulate a severed finger. It was awesome!

This was fantastic! We added a little bit of Pecorino Romano cheese because we ran out of Parmesan. Mmm Mmm!

Three Bean Slow Burn Chili

I love this chili. I add extra kidney beans and corn. Since I am a weenie, I leave out the habaneros. ;)

I tried these last night, and they were fantastic! I also suggest marinating and grilling pineapple slices with the chicken.

Buttery Soft Pretzels

Reviewed: Oct. 7, 2010
These are definitely yummy and easy to make! As previous reviewers have suggested, you should gradually add in your flour and knead the dough. I usually use about 4 cups of flour instead of 5 like the recipe calls for.

Brigadeiro

Reviewed: Feb. 15, 2010
These are fantastic! I cook the batter for a few minutes after it thickens then place it in the refrigerator to make it easier to roll. I have rolled them in chocolate sprinkles, crushed almond, coconut and toffee bits. Definitely a crowd pleaser!

Bread Machine Bagels

Reviewed: Aug. 31, 2013
WOW! This is the best bagel recipe I have found so far!!! I don't have a bread machine, so I made this by hand. I proofed my yeast for 10min then added flour and salt to the mix. I kneaded the dough, covered it with a damp towel and let it rise for 30min in a warm area. After that, I punched down the dough and gave it another 30min. I only cut my dough into 6 sections (I like big bagels) and shaped them into bagels. I let them rise for another 15min and then added them to boiling water. I decided to do an olive oil wash and then added some minced garlic and pretzel salt to the tops. SOOO GOOD!

Potato Leek Soup III

Reviewed: Aug. 30, 2013
I thought this recipe was good. I made this for my Mom after she had dental surgery. Per some of the recommendations, I only used half a cup of butter and substituted the cream for half and half. I also used red potatoes since that was what I had on hand. The soup was a bit bland at first, so I added a tablespoon of garlic, some parsley and just a little cayenne.
