Cheesy Potato and Corn Chowder

Reviewed: Nov. 8, 2009
This was a fantastic recipe, but I did make a few changes. As per other people's suggestions, I added a can of creamed corn and omitted the chiles. I did add a pinch of red pepper flakes, chili powder, garlic and Old Bay seasoning. The Old Bay is a MD thing and really added to the recipe! Thanks Jackay for the original recipe!

Chicken Fiesta Salad

Reviewed: Nov. 15, 2009
This meal is delicious, simple and relatively healthy! I did make a few changes, though. I cooked the chicken with chopped onions and green peppers as well as a little bit of minced garlic. I also added the chicken to the corn/bean mixture as well as 1/2 tsp of chili powder and a tbl of lime juice. Finally, I topped the salad with tortilla strips, cheese with a dollop of sour cream on the wide. Wow! Sooo good!

Old Fashioned Coconut Cream Pie

Reviewed: Jan. 29, 2010
This was fantastic! I took the suggestion of other reviewers and substituted a can of cream of coconut for part of the half and half. Wow! Just, wow!

Brown Sugar Meatloaf

Reviewed: Jan. 29, 2010
I really liked this meatloaf, but the first time I made it, there was too much liquid! So, I only added 1/2 c of milk. I also added some garlic, a pinch of sage and put the brown sugar/ketchup on top. My bf said this was the best meatloaf he has tasted. =D

Lazygirl's Ground Turkey Stroganoff

Reviewed: Jan. 29, 2010
I added mushrooms and some extra spices to this recipe, but something was still missing from the taste. It was ok, but I don't know if I will make this again.

Brigadeiro

Reviewed: Feb. 15, 2010
These are fantastic! I cook the batter for a few minutes after it thickens then place it in the refrigerator to make it easier to roll. I have rolled them in chocolate sprinkles, crushed almond, coconut and toffee bits. Definitely a crowd pleaser!

I skipped the additional chocolate frosting and just made these into cheesecake topped brownies. They were fantastic!

Spicy Bean Salsa

Reviewed: Jul. 8, 2010
This was delicious! I let it sit overnight and added cilantro. This recipe made a lot of salsa, but I didn't have much left over after the party!

Buttery Soft Pretzels

Reviewed: Oct. 7, 2010
These are definitely yummy and easy to make! As previous reviewers have suggested, you should gradually add in your flour and knead the dough. I usually use about 4 cups of flour instead of 5 like the recipe calls for.

Chocolate Covered Cherries

Reviewed: Dec. 21, 2010
These are fantastic! One word of advice, I kept mine in the 'fridge for a week, and the insides did not melt. However, after storing them in an airtight container in the kitchen for 3 days, the humidity did it's trick to make them gooey.

Cranberry Orange Loaf

Reviewed: Dec. 21, 2010
Delicious! The first time I made it, I cheated and used dried cranberries which made the bread really dry. The second time, I followed the recipe with fresh cranberries, and it turned out fantastic!

Spicy Garlic Lime Chicken

Reviewed: Dec. 26, 2010
This was fantastic! I do suggest doubling the spices though because it does not make enough.

Spring Lime Tea Cookies

Reviewed: May 20, 2011
Delicious! These turn out to be cake-like cookies with a fantastic zing! I added a little extra lime juice to enhance the lime flavor, but it was a matter of personal preference.

I tried these last night, and they were fantastic! I also suggest marinating and grilling pineapple slices with the chicken.

I love this chili. I add extra kidney beans and corn. Since I am a weenie, I leave out the habaneros. ;)

This was fantastic! We added a little bit of Pecorino Romano cheese because we ran out of Parmesan. Mmm Mmm!

Spooky Witches' Fingers

Reviewed: Feb. 15, 2012
These were really yummy- nice and buttery! I added green food coloring to the dough as well as a little extra sugar. I also took other's suggestions and dipped the almonds in strawberry jelly before inserting them into the "finger". I smushed the other end of the cookie and added more jelly, to simulate a severed finger. It was awesome!
