Baked Potato Soup

Reviewed: Jul. 20, 2010
Wonderful and easy recipe! I halved the basil like everyone said. I didn't have any hot sauce, so I added 1/4 tsp crushed red peppers. I also did take the time to bake the potatoes, I just cooked them in the chicken broth for a few minutes while I cooked the bacon and then the onion and garlic. This worked out great! Thanks for a wonderful recipe!

Corn Dog Muffins

Reviewed: Jul. 20, 2010
These were just okay. I cut the recipe in half and cut up 3 full size hot dogs into 1/2 inch sections. I put 2 sections in each muffin.

Brownie Crackles

Reviewed: Nov. 15, 2009
Very easy, and a great twist on brownies!! My family and I loved them. We had no left overs. I would recommend a previous comment to chill the dough for a few hours before baking, it makes it so easy to work with. Thanks for a great recipe!!

Sugar Cookie Icing

Reviewed: Sep. 19, 2009
GREAT GREAT! I used this on the Best Rolled Sugar Cookies from this site. I doubled the recipe to cover all of my cookies. I only had vanilla extract, so I used it. And I also was out of corn syrup, so I used honey. These changes turned out just fine. Everyone loved these cookies with this icing and so did I! :)

The Best Rolled Sugar Cookies

Reviewed: Sep. 19, 2009
WOW! These are better than the local bakery's cookies. I halved this recipe because I thought I wouldn't use very much. I did use all of the halved recipe which made about 20 cookies, 1/2" thick. I did add an extra 1/2 cup powdered sugar and 1/2 teaspoon vanilla to my mix, which was half the original. They turned out great, but I do enjoy a sweet sugar cookie. I didn't roll mine out, I just patted out small amounts with a glass that had been dipped in powdered sugar. I had no problem with the dough being to stickey, I just kept covering my hands and the dough with powdered sugar if I thought it felt sticky. My cookies did puff up and expand A LOT! I will spread them out next time and probably only do 1/4" thick. Thanks for a great recipe!

Baby Back Ribs

Reviewed: Sep. 15, 2009
These ribs were incredibly easy and taste great! I didn't remove the back membrane, but it didn't bother anyone :) I only cooked for 2 hours and then put them under the broiler for 5 minutes each side for color, and they turned out amazing! My husband only eats Chili's Baby Back Ribs, but he said he likes these better! Thanks for a money saving recipe.

Too Much Chocolate Cake

Reviewed: Sep. 12, 2009
WOW! This recipe was great just as it is. I liked it even better the next day!! I drizzled Satiny Chocolate Glaze from this site over half, just in case it was too rich, but found that with or without it was amazing!

Satiny Chocolate Glaze

Reviewed: Sep. 12, 2009
Great, easy recipe. I substituted local honey for the corn syrup (which was fine). I went by the recipe other than that and found it tasted a lot like melted chocolate chips...so I added about 1/4 to 1/2 cup powdered sugar to sweeten things up. This was AMAZING! I drizzled it over Too Much Chocolate Cake recipe from this site :)

Empanadas

I don't think I made these correctly :( The shell was too thick and could have been sweeter. I may try again.

Honey Bun Cake I

Reviewed: Aug. 2, 2009
I made mine in a loaf pan (which turned out great after 45-50 mins). Everyone that tried this cake loved it. I cut back on the brown sugar, which I now wish I hadn't, because it wasn't sweet enough for me. Next time I will do a better job swirling my brown sugar mixture in :)
