WOW! These are better than the local bakery's cookies. I halved this recipe because I thought I wouldn't use very much. I did use all of the halved recipe which made about 20 cookies, 1/2" thick. I did add an extra 1/2 cup powdered sugar and 1/2 teaspoon vanilla to my mix, which was half the original. They turned out great, but I do enjoy a sweet sugar cookie. I didn't roll mine out, I just patted out small amounts with a glass that had been dipped in powdered sugar. I had no problem with the dough being to stickey, I just kept covering my hands and the dough with powdered sugar if I thought it felt sticky. My cookies did puff up and expand A LOT! I will spread them out next time and probably only do 1/4" thick. Thanks for a great recipe!
