Honey Walnut Shrimp

Reviewed: May 14, 2009
i did this recipe twice. i followed the first one exactly to this one. it was great. but after 10 mins of frying the shirmp, it got soggy. so i was looking into a different ways of doing it. i manage to get my mother in law's help. i used tempura batter with some salt in it. but very little. it came out better. so for 30 tiger shirmps butterfly at their backs. i put about 1/4 cup of tempure mix with 1/4 cup of water & 2 pinches of salt. mix them together & fried them. try it!

Mini Cheesecakes

Reviewed: Apr. 8, 2009
it is such a BIG hit at my little parties. i tried another recipe. no, no. not as good as this one. however i made minor adjustments. i didnt use vanilly wafers. i used home made graham crust & also BROWNIE mix. i cooked the brownie half way & added the cheesecake on top. i also added 3 tablespoons of sour creme. well, everyone at my party enjoyed it. i hope you will too if you try it this way.

Chi Chi Dango Mochi

Reviewed: Apr. 8, 2009
i like this recipe so much. the coconut milk practically is the special ingredient. my daughter enjoys it. i had to buy special tools to make this because i made it so often. i put potato starch in a big foil pan & fliped the mochi in it. to make room for cutting & moving around. & i used pam to spray the pan so it wont be too sticky. be careful. too much will cause a mess. it could even ruin the mochi.

Korean-style Seaweed Soup

Reviewed: Apr. 8, 2009
it's a good recipe. but it takes longer than it says. & of course i added a little more soy sauce. the thing about asian food is that it requires a WHOLE different level of ingredients. not only that, brands matter too. but i cooked chopped rump roast in a sauce pan on high heat. added onions, soy sauce & sesame oil to flavor the beef. then keep cooking it on high heat for over 30 minutes. it made the beef really soft. it made it more flavorful. thanks for the tips of what goes in it. now i dont have to go buy when my daughter feels like having seaweed soup. THANKS!!!
